Received my other GX-88 from GameStop today. I was surprised on how well it was packed. First ever order from them and was not let down. Fast shipping too!

Ok. I have finally had a chance to sit down and open GX-88. All I can say is WOW! Everything is perfect. Sturdy as can be, and shines as bright as the sun. Paint is perfect! I am just a collector so once it hits my shelf behind glass it will not get touched very much again. I see my robot collection as art, I mean the miracle dairugger looks good behind glass and has a great heft, but the fact the the GX-88 does not flop around all over the place is well worth the price of admission. Art does need moved and cleaned from time to time and I will have no worries with my great SOC Dairugger XV.

Just got a email from Sure Thing Toys that GX-88 is on the way! I can’t wait! LOL My order from Sure Thing shipped yesterday and arrived today. I haven’t had a chance to do much more than admire the box so far, but it‘s in perfect condition and was packed well.

Just got my GX-88 and it is an amazing piece.
Also, for those who are curious how the rotors of the 2 helicopters can spin so freely, the spinning does not come from the connection of the chrome rotor blades but from inside the arm within the area where the white pegs one may attach the rotors on.
It works reverse on how the top pinned rotors would work for most toy helicopters.

Just to keep things safe. And yeah, like you I have been exploring this delicious beast all night. I am amazed at how good this is. It combines all the details of the older SOC's like Danguard Ace, or GX-50, with the very fit finish and articulation. I think this guy has just become the leading contender for Best of Year.

Still crickets from NY.
They responded with my follow-up and still said they are waiting on inventory. I guess I'm just later in the list.

It’s more like a post order .... Sorry to hear that bro! I would flip my sh*t if I didn’t get tha figure by now.. even GameStop have delivered and that says a lot about being late for things ... guess you and others have to just “wait” 🤷🏽♂️

Also,I have a few scratches on my Dairugger.
But they are easily ignorable and the worst part is the inner arm piece for outer shoulder movement.
The blue helicopter is painted with a special metallic blue and is easy to to chip for 1st timers.

Got my Dairugger from Amazon today in perfect condition. I did notice on my first gx-88 I got I'm missing a fin on the rugger 7(nothing broke, it must of been like this out of the box because nothing looks chipped there). Wasn't too much of a big deal as when Dairugger is combined you can't really see the red and blue areas much anyways but I sent in a replacement request to bandai but it'll take a bit. It happens when a product has to be mass produced, a few units are gonna have a piece missing or fault somewhere. Again though I'm very happy with the gx-88! Toy of the year I hope.

Spent some time playing with Dairugger VX, tried out the 3 team configuration, then combined the bot mode. While I agree with many of you with this being a really good release, but there are a few small issues that bugged me while messing with it:
- Rugger 5 (red plane) hooks are just too thin. Unless the plastic can really stand the test of time, it'll probably be the first thing to stress and crack. - Rugger 8 (left thigh) doesn't connect very flushed. It locks in place, but with bigger gaps on hip and knee than the other thigh. Took a lot of nudging and pressing in bot mode to eventually eliminate the gaps and the left leg being longer due to it. Which means the locking mechanism is not quite precise. - Rugger 9 & 10 knee wobble. The blocks with the 2 chrome dish, it moves a bit every time you bend the knees, or giving the whole upper body slight wobble due to weight. - Rugger 6 waist wobble. The joint where it gives Dairugger's waist swivel, also has a couple degree of wobbling sideways, causing the upper torso leaning slightly from side to side sometimes. - Not very confident connections between Ruggers. Since many has no clear clicks, its hard to tell if something is already locked in place or not, or if there is a lock at all and just pure friction holding the part. Often need to give it an extra nudge or wiggle just to test if its locked, making the experience of the combination not as smooth nor confident inducing as it should.
One thing it impressed me a lot is they almost have diecast you can feel in all the vehicles, 12 to be exact from what I can tell (Rugger 11, 12 & 13 has none on the outside...aka hands and hip, though hip has inner diecast joints for leg connections). Its very cool to feel the cold metal every time you pick up one of these little guys.
Bandai did a lot of great things engineering this GX-88, but I wish they just refined it a bit more on some of these minor issues. Came very close to perfection, yet didn't quite hit the perfect mark for me.

A small local shop. It’s quite interesting - There are many listings on eBay at the $359 price + shipping. Not sure what stores had the excess amounts. But worth it if anyone really missed out.
