Ah yes, the Blue Baikanfu I always thought of Baikanfu as the red Gordian. Think I'm the odd man out, but I'm very excited they're making this. It's long overdue for me.

For me, it is more like this:
Gordian - the blue original, nostalgic, and ugly looking russian doll robot.
Baikanfu - the red late comer, kung-fu badass, russian doll robot that has a bunch of Gobot friends.

Gordian is what us Westerners grew up with when came to godaikin. I wonder if that was cheapest one back in the day since it was common to have.

The least expensive DXs were Daidenjen and Daitetsujin 17. Gardian, Dynaman, Goggle V, Sun Vulcan and some others retailed for $45. God Sigma Tier were around $65. Then GoLion, Voltes, Combattra, God Mars and T28 were in the $80 ballpark.

Looking at other photos of this release...I don’t know the shoulders look Massive. This just first impressions from photos I seen but maybe it’s angle. The CMS metallic version I have looks lot better than this SoC, But hands suck. I still buy this one after seeing better photos.

The two smaller robots look all plastic from the magazine scans with the chests open. Does anyone else see it diffrently?

The two smaller robots look all plastic from the magazine scans with the chests open. Does anyone else see it diffrently? It looks that way; but also it looks like Garbin's body is mostly metal! That's one of my biggest hopes for this release as a collector who owns the original. I so want the combined robot to have that vintage feel.... The shoulders on the blue Gordian does look pretty huge. It seems like they more or less replicated the engineering on SOC Baikanfu, with the joints look more or less the same. POSE+ wins on that regards.

Took them a while. Glad that Bandai finally decided to work on this guy.
I dunno if I can scrounge up $400 but it looks to be a solid SoC release.

I don't have FB so I can't really expand on the images posted by Coletron. So, for those who are in the same boat as me, pics here: www.taghobby.com/archives/489265
