Any combiner that require swapping parts is considered inferior to the ones that don't, not only because it's more convenient to do without the swapping parts, but it would require great more complex engineering. SMP Dancouga is especially worse with its swapping parts, because it uses so many. does everything and better my arse LOL And yes, you don't know what you're talking about, because 2% diecast is blatantly WRONG as well. Sentinel Dancouga uses fair amount of diecast, and it's just as hefty as SOCs of similar size.
look at your self going, nice
ok since you set up some odd rules, i guess its only fair for me to set some rules as well but i will try to make mine more logical
first i think you are the one who doesn't know what he is talking about, you cant use the words great complex engineering along with a figure that is made mostly with plastic, since plastic is way easier to control
i said the SMP does everything better than the SOC mainly because it got better articulation, easier to handle and to play with i wonder why is that hmmmm, yes because its made of plastic and as i said plastic is easier to control therefor it will have better articulation, not to mention the kit is kinda new so im sure they have some tricks here and there better than the old SOC
for the diecast content , and after seeing the pic you posted, i think you are exaggeration you see this 2% to 5% as a fair amount, for me its not the right amount to ask this price,
but yet again this hobby is about personal preferences, you collect what you like
for me ET, Sentinel and Revoltech are the exact same thing, selling plastic for price of gokins
the fact that this thing is still available for preorder in most store right now, only shows you how "popular" its and how this is a truly a "steal" of deal for what you are getting

Okay I can see where this thread is heading a mile away. Let's just move on and focus on the actual figure.

Sentinel Dancouga is the reason why I love Sentinel products. Now they are going to release a final combo version with improved joints? Thats good news.

I actually pray Sentinel is reading Kuma's suggestion. Sell the shoulder die cast joints from the original and real color.

I think this is a good opportunity for people to learn what Sentinel toys are truly about, as some do seem to really believe that it's nothing more than a glorified Revoltech He's trolling and you're taking the bait. Notice no one else is going on with him. It's not new. Please just stop.

I don't know for some reason but I'm a really sucker for clear canopies, the die-cast shoulders are great addition but the icing on the cake for me is the clear canopies, lol.
I can't wait - hopefully the economy picks up when this gets released in July.

I actually pray Sentinel is reading Kuma's suggestion. Sell the shoulder die cast joints from the original and real color. I did ask and unfortunately they said no and that it's "never been in their practices" to sell individual parts. In my head and in my heart I'm like so f**king what but I just gave it a thanks for the response. I think it's absolute bull. ----- Just sharing a few pics of the previous releases from my collection; Darn, i hoped they would. Beautiful pics as always.

This may have been answered but what part of the shoulders should I be careful with in the OG? I haven’t really posed mine in dynamic poses so I didn’t notice anything that may become an issue. The only issue with mine was the alternate head’s brittle plastic.
EDIT: Nevermind, just saw post where it’s the shoulder joint. 😜

Am I setting some odd rules? It shouldn't take a genius to figure out which requires more complex engineering LOL You said 'does everything better than the SOC' when asked specifically 'if SMP transforms' NO IT DOESN'T. Eagle Figher does NOT transform as it comes as 3 separate parts in SMP, and its transformation in general, is NOT BETTER, because it requires tons of parts swapping. It's just plain stupid to compare articulations of a model kit to a diecast toy side by side and call it better to begin with, but the SMP's articulations in general is very limited for a model kit, and handling/playing is absolutely nightmare, as parts can break easily while swapping, and pegs can worn out quickly due to poor plastic quality. You're just keep making these bold statements about something that you don't have first hand experience with, and it does nothing but making clown out of yourself. I see this as a fair amount, because 1. it's got more diecast content than the only other diecast Dancouga out there, the SOC. (only the shoulders, lower legs, feet are diecast for the SOC, while Sentinel's got its waist part diecast as well) 2. it weights just as much as the SOCs in similar size such as Voltes V, Combattler V, Zambot 3 And it's pretty obvious who's exaggerating when looking at the photos. Do you really think that's 2% diecast? By your standard, most of the SOC combiners are 2% diecast LOL Revoltech is 100% plastic, Sentinel is not. DUH.. Ever since the Sentinel Dancouga came out, the SOC price had dropped to rock bottom. And the Sentinel's price, just like most other Sentinel toys, had sky rocketed even at the presence of cheaper bootleg counterpart. It's pretty clear what Gokin collectors think of as the definitive version of Dancouga. BTW, SMP Dancouga is at 50% discount at amiami right now, this might as well be your chance to see what SMP is all about LOL.
nice paragraph there, B for effort
its odd because you said it doesn't take a genius to figure out which requires more complex engineering and yet here you are saying a plastic figure have complex engineering alright
also breaking the rule, NEVER use complex engineering in same sentence with a plastic figure that have %2 to %5 diecast, not logical but funny as heck tho
for me the eagle fighter is very annoying to transform i was glad they add extra parts, simple
its extremely stupid to call a figure that have %2 of diecast in it a diecast figure, its even BEYOND stupid, i own couple of SMP and NONE have the problems that you mentioned, even with my hard dynamic poses, clearly you only know the name of the brand thats it
i dont need to handle expensive plastic to know its just like any other plastic figure but with higher price tag
the only clown in here is you, you are such fan boy that you see stuff with your feeling and heart, however your brain (assuming you have one) is complete out of service
LOL fair amount again
the SOC is older than some members in here, its not fair to bring it to the table, but lets wait and see maybe a one of the big boys will bring one and those who didn't get this will laugh at you and at this joke of figure
again never compare true diecast figures to mostly plastic ones
does this looks like %2 diecast for you ?
this is what diecast figures looks like, not the joke you are calming to be a diecast figure fan boy
Revoltech is %100 plastic and this is what %90 wow thats should be illegal
again with the weakest point in history the SOC is already old dude, even the R version didnt bring anything new to the table of course it will get cheaper
thanks for the heads up but im not interested in the SMP Dancouga, i only mentioned because its offer the same thing with a friction of the price
at the end i made my points, you made what you think your points lets agree to disagree and move along, not because of anything but mainly i dont do discussion with emotional thinkers

Props to the amount of diecast the Metamor-Force actually has. With the quality of plastic and paint finish on the figure it's hard to tell what's what.

So, you're saying that the left is DA text book example of what a diecast figure should look like, while the right is the 2% diecast that it's not even worth calling it a diecast figure? talking about the fanboys LOL
like a mouse in trap but instead of cheese i used plastic
GX88 vs Dancouga
around %80 of the foot in gx88 are diecast vs what %2 ? of the foot is diecast
legs again GX88 have more diecast since the legs are longer
in the thighs you didn't highlight the diecast parts in rugger 7 and in rugger 8 which are the bottom of the red & yellow parts and some of the top white parts under it, not to mention the diecast pegs so clear win for the GX88
mid section exactly in rugger 6 & rugger 11 you didn't highlight those or even mentioned them as well (maybe because it will show the truth that Dancouga is just an expensive plastic)
chest most of rugger 2 is diecast but again you didnt mention that (just to make your points valid), also rugger 5 have decent diecast in it
the shoulders in both figures are almost equal
end result GX88 have more ALOT more than this Dancouga
so yes this Dancouga is not a diecast figure, its just a plastic figure with some diecast in it for more than the price of a true diecast figure
sad truth i know fan boy

There's no such thing as an entirely diecast figure. The standard has always been diecast parts is key areas with a good amount being plastic.
It's also unfair to compare a piece like Dairugger where the majority of the vehicles are static bricks to Dancouga where it's made up of individual robots with three modes a piece on top of their combined forms (minus Eagle fighter who has three including.) There's a lot more ease in making bricks that stack on top of each other diecast.
What really baffles me about all of this isn't any if the non-truths and poor comparisons used in the agenda of spamming up yet another thread of an item the poster is priced out of, but the fact that it's gone on for years and moderators just don't care. I appreciate the more relaxed approach, but come on. Every other thread here has a five page excerpt of back and forth like this with the same dude.
Same goes for the guy who went on the quasi-racist rants in multiple threads a few months back.
Same guy for the idiot who got mad that he sold a dinged up product as mint/new on a whole other forum and came here to rant and stalk over whatever remorse he conjured up a week later from voluntarily giving a partial refund for it. Mental sh*t. This board has gotten to the point where people come to it to act a fool knowing that it will be allowed.
In the end I don't understand why it's difficult for people to just let others buy what they like and show interest without trying to bring them down. There's a difference between actual discussion and the sh*t on this page. There's no right or wronf to all of this and as long as everyone has things that they're excited for and are purchasing what they want then everyone is doing great. No one should feel that they have to justify their choices and no one should let their ego trick them into thinking they're important enough to ask for said justification.

oh so now im the trouble maker ? you should take a selfie TJ and you will find out who is the real trouble maker in RJ, all the accident you mentioned YOU were a part of it not me
did i say dont buy it ? i know its hard for you but dont get confused, all i said was this figure is insanely expensive for a figure that is made mostly with plastic " an opinion that many share"
fan boys got severely butthurt for some reason and started saying myths like this figure is consider a diecast figure lol yea right
humans have some small % of gold in their bodies, so are we going to call are self the golden race ?
So you're feeling that these two are about equal in size While there's a world of difference between these two that one's not qualified as a true diecast? LOL The real truth is that GX88 isn't diecast heavy for its size at all. 29cm figure that weights 1140 gram vs 22cm figure that weights 750 gram Do a little math and you'll know GX88 weights about 2/3 of the Dancouga, if they were same height.
like a mouse when cornered you are looking for an escape, we didnt talk about who is the fattest we are talking about diecast parts
also i really like how you made the shoulder pic for the GX88 smaller than Dancouga shoulder pic so it would appear larger
but you know what im done with this, i made my point while you still looking for another way(s) to prove your got a point

oh so now im the trouble maker ? you should take a selfie TJ and you will find out who is the real trouble maker in RJ, all the accident you mentioned YOU were a part of it not me - You doing this sh*t isn't new. - There's a difference between actively engaging in something and being privy to or targeted by it. And your accusation falls short because Im not even a part of THIS stupid mess outside of being annoyed ny the spam. This board is genuinely dead in comparison to even its own standards nowadays and if you don't think people not being able to read a thread for product information without pages of mental midget bullsh*t is a large part of it then I've got a bridge to sell you. - I have plenty of selfies on social media... get your creep on. - In the end, whether it's for attention or due to some sort of natured/nutured issues you enjoy making yourself the focal point of threads dedicated to products you have no interest in. It's bizarre. - Take it as you will but I would suggest presenting arguments that aren't constantly shut down immediately in a factual manner before further passive-aggressive remarks regarding the intelligence of others.

yea im allergic to the BS you are selling, even when some one give an opinion in your photos you talk trash to them, such hypocrisy from some one who claim he is about people have different tastes
what you are doing is not actively engaging, all you do is trash talking to people who dont agree with you, and if you are not a part of this why you are addressing the points i mentioned ?
sorry im straight, you should find love some where else
im not an attention sleeper like you im not even active in RJ like i used to do,
when know whats the different between pizza and your suggestion ? i ordered a pizza and i didnt ask for your suggestion
im not seeing any kind of intelligence all i see is some fanboys who are talk some pure BS
You think I used some kind of magic tricks to make Dancouga's shoulder to look larger? LOL It's just that you're so blinded by your fanboy mind that you can't even see a simple truth. The truth is that more diecast means more weight, and the Sentinel Dancouga weights just as heavy as any other SOCs of similar size.
nice save but its to late
at least im a fan of diecast not diecast wanna be
honest question after many years can this figure get recycled ?
at least im a fan of diecast not platsic
