Man all this Micropolis story telling takes me back. Does Anyone remember that Article in Women’s Day magazine from 1978? The Article showed how to build the “OUTER-SPACE STATION” That thing always looked amazing to me as a child. You could create a space world for your micronauts and other 3 3/4 “ figures: IMG]http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y79/GUYx1/outerspacestationfull2.jpg[/IMG] Featuring a very Logan’s Run style living quarters: Here is another very logan’s run inspired play area And a rather Microman inspired transportation system: You can read the full article here with MANY photos: www.toysrgus.com/images-speci/womansday/index.html- Guy

Only on my second visit did I realise this thing is home made! Hey that's really Blue Peter! Here in Britain we still have the great TV show that I grew up with - Blue Peter - and they always do skits on how to make your own beauty parlour/adventure station for Barbie/Action Man. The catchphrase was always "Here's one I made Earlier", when the presenter would pull out another one in a more advanced state of construction. The irony is that this actually looks better than the British version of the Death Star, which I had as a kid, and which was a dome of printed cardboard.

The "Blue Peter" "Thunderbirds Tracy Island" - where they recreated the best-selling toy that particular winter using egg boxes and cardboard tubes is a true legend of British TV childrens broadcasting. They received literally thousands of requests for the plans...!
