I was checking my orders with HLJ & they wanted $110 to ship 1 Metal Build to the Middle East through DHL which is the only available option. EMS will be missed. Tell me about it, had to pay $200 for the April Web Exclusives through DHL. It was an 8 pound package but because of the size they charged me the equivalent of a 22 pound package Well during these situation , im just drooling check on mandarake ... i thought some people hold to buy online because huge shipment cost. Some of my wishlist now available in that store too .... Tempting but thinking of shipment cost and ETA arrival to US make me nervous to buy online. Im also cancel order from amiami, hlj etc because not make sense for the shipment cost if still buy online from overseas store

I too went ahead with an opportunity and secured something at Mandarake a couple days ago, when DHL is still available to the US. It may probably be my last Japanese order before the COVID-19 situation gets better and the shipping open back up. But man...DHL is pricey! Was expecting to pay close to US$100, when it normally can cost $50-60 EMS. Turn out its almost $200. But I have to say, at a time like this, DHL only took a day for the package to reach US shore. That's impressive.

DHL are always insanely fast but they are extremely EXPENSIVE, way back they asked me about $250 to ship the DX Combattler lol
most of my new orders will stay in with the sellers until COVID 19 is gone
on the bright side they are saying the ozone layer are healing one of the biggest wholes is fully closed
we should do this more often for our plant

Since most of the country are starting to deconfine, hopefully they will start to ship soon True but are there enough planes flying out of Japan with our goodies (sent via Japan Post)? To send GX-90 Combattler V is going to cost me via DHL 6762 yen (US$ 62.91) or FEDEX priority 11484 yen (US$ 106.84) from CDJapan!

At this price simply wait.
Mine no update yet, and still not returned to HLJ. I'm sure it's perfectly safe in a warehouse.

April was pretty bad for my orders from Japan. I had a pretty big package stucked nearly a month in the post office and thats on EMS. My SAL packages were returned to sender. But i guess Japan EMS have started moving now. Had a few orders on EMS the last 2 weeks and i got them withIn a week or two, pretty damn fast by today’s standards. DHL and UPS are the still the safest bet out of Japan but they do costs a bomb.

I wonder how this affects sellers who sell on eBay located in Japan. Could take months. Not sure how it works with Japan but one time years ago I sold a cheap item that didn’t show up to someone till a month. I refunded her after 2 weeks and eBay told her once she got it 2 weeks later, she didn’t have to send it back and kept the refund. It was too cheap of an item for me to care. Just wonder what will happen if an item doesn’t done for 4-5 months even if from Japan.

Especially them have no control of what can or cannot go to your country. And when they don't have a website or ordering system to keep track on things, more room for error and forgotten orders down the road, as we have no idea when the shipping will open up again. Worse, you may not be able to get a refund a few months later when ebay or Paypal protection expires. For US, DHL or similar delivery service is the only option left currently, but its super expensive, like 2X -3X of EMS. Just have to wait it out for many of us, with a chance to lose out on some releases.

I think the risk would be more for the eBay seller since if it doesn’t show an item delivered in 30 days or more cause it’s international, you will get your month back. Like what happened to me it took over 30 days for an item to get to a buyer and by then I already refunded. Ebay said that person should just keep the item and not pay me anything.
The risk I see are third party services for YHJ. How can they guarantee you getting the products you ordered? Will they want to since if you pay them by PayPal, you can file a claim is if takes long?
I think with that it’s important to have a service you’ve done business multiple times with and trust. Let them hold the items for you till this suspension passes or pay the crazy DHL or Fed Ex amounts if you can afford it.
If you can’t wait for an item. Either pay a seller within your country or use DHL. I’m probably going to be just buying from US sellers moving forward till this ends.
