So far I've loved every release from Pose+, can't afford a single one but I am VERY impressed by this line and it may actually be the first time in a long time that Bandai has some real competition and in some cases some defeats ala Baikanfu. I feel the same way. I'm kicking myself for not picking up the first release of Baxinger for the more reasonable $300 range. I'd love to get Baikanfu, but I do not $600 love Baikanfu. Pretty mutch this. I'll take the soc and minipla but I don't love baikanfu or machine robo enough to blow $600

Sentinel Destroyer, SOC Killer....
At DX class price tag, I'd HOPE and certainly EXPECT it to be TWICE as nice as its counter parts.

Sentinel Destroyer, SOC Killer.... At DX class price tag, I'd HOPE and certainly EXPECT it to be TWICE as nice as its counter parts. The only slightly disappointing fact is that it doesn't come with a Reina figure. At first, I thought I can always have the SOC one as a stand in. But now knowing the SOC mini figures are quite a bit bigger than the POSE+, I am afraid Reina is going to be bigger than Rom...

Haven't had a whole lot of time with the figure yet, but did play with it a bit, test out its joints and the "Pile Formation" process.
The overall engineering and presentation of the figure is pretty solid. I haven't noticed any paint flaws and the combination of materials look great. I do think the detailing and scupting feel tad bit cleaner and sharper compared to previous POSE+ figures-- it's interesting seeing how this line is "evolving".
Definitely took my time with the Pile Formation, some areas (like the arm pieces) do feel a bit fragile at first, but once it's all assembled everything feels good and secure. I'm a little disappointed that a spudger tool (which is included) is needed to open up the pelvic/waist area; I tried to see if I could separate it by hand, but it's too tight a fit.
Overall, I'm happy with the figure! It looks great, the paint and details are sharp, joints and ratchets feel good, and it's fun to play with and pose. Any concerns I have, have to do more with the Pile Formation. Just making sure I take my time when going through that process, and with it being such a tight fit, I'm just hoping the Kenryu figure doesn't get scratched up.
Like all POSE+ figures, it's expensive and can be hard-to-find, so YMMV on what you expect from a figure like this. There's less accessories than Goshogun and Baxinger, and from what I've read/heard, increased production costs went into the engineering and just maintaining QC, but I'm happy with the purchase. It's my first Baikanfu figure so I'm unable to compare it to previous releases (I was interested in the SOC figure), but just glad to have this in my collection and plan to keep supporting the POSE+ line.

blink, glad to see another collector for this awesome piece! Did my 2nd Pile Formation and it's "near" perfect. Got to be careful with Baikanfu's groin area, had a bit of paint come off, not too evident though. Went a bit rough on it as well (just a bit) and no other scratches or any problems found. Happy New Year everyone!

That’s great guys thanks for responses and photos. I have the other Pose+ releases and love what they are doing too. There suppose to be second batch next year that I’ll snag one hopefully.Just too many big purchases for me this end of the year. So this didn’t make my budget cut for 2020. 😛But I’m fool for chogokin with articulated fingers!

I got the pose plus Baikanfu. Problem is you can’t rotate the arms to the back. Same with the leg. Otherwise premium figure

These chogokin are like an monthly expensive car payment! 😂 I have 4 cars(my other hobby) so I had to pay for their registrations renewal and insurance all around December so Baikanfu had to take backseat. 😛

Think about that! Mine arrived from Hobby Search. Haven't got the chance to open it yet. DHL shipping is definitely not cheap, about US$160 for this... start to doubt some of the earlier reports on DHL shipping getting cheaper, or if they just got lucky and happened to have items fitting a certain size to lower the cost. Every DHL package I got from Japan so far is in the US$100-200 range. Cheaper...yeah right.

As suspected earlier, POSE+ Rom (far right) is indeed shorter than SOC Leina...unfortunately, even shorter if you use the regular combination legs. While POSE+ Rom definitely looks and pose better, I miss the diecast on the lower legs of SOC's. Gives a little bit of weight and stability on the tiny light figure that won't get knock down just by breathing on it or with the slightest touch. I guess Rom can pass as a short older brother if you really have to.

Yeah what about diecast content on robots themselves? What you think?

Yeah what about diecast content on robots themselves? What you think? I have not combined all the dudes together yet, but I have to say just by handling the individual robots, the diecast content is a bit light. Even though POSE+ Baikanfu is much larger, it does not feel like it weight more than the SOC. And unlike the SOC, many of the diecast in POSE+ Baikanfu you can't feel it (joints and inner panels). The most obvious metal are the feet, silver knee cap, back hip, and white waist. The rest of the metal are inside or on joints. So it does feel kind of hollow and a bit light from such a big figure. When combined, I am sure it will feel more hefty, but not by a huge amount since Kenryu (blue guy) feels more or less the same with even less metal and plastic on the smaller body. SOC on the contrary, you feel the metal in many places. But compare to the SOC's articulation, this is definitely a huge improvement. POSE+ can pose a lot more action and natural pose than SOC (which is quite limited and those shoulder pads is always in the way). No contest here. Is it $600 worth of toy, really hard to say. Probably no for some. Not because it is not a good toy, it is actually a great toy with superb engineering and those ratchets are very clicky and nice, making Baikanfu very stable. But if you want the heavy diecast feel in most top tier SOCs, you may find this bigger figure falls a bit short on heft for that price. If it is not for COVID jacking up the shipping, and POSE+ being a small company doing dream projects, this figure feels more in line at a $400-500 purchase, rather than a $600-700 after shipping. But personally, I am very happy I got it, and no doubt it is the best Baikanfu in the market for a very very long time. Attachments:

I appreciate the honest review mpchi. Height and size difference with SoC is astonishing. Prior to release some of us were saying this probably $400-500 piece as well. True with Covid-19 that lack of shipping options makes this even more expensive. Yes, engineering in regards with articulation is very impressive as well.
If second batch comes through I’ll still snag one.

True with Covid-19 that lack of shipping options makes this even more expensive. Yes, engineering in regards with articulation is very impressive as well. If second batch comes through I’ll still snag one. Robotoybase still have some for $489, looks like. Wish I went with them to get the lower local HK price, instead of going with Hobby Search. While Hobby Search is great, their high DHL shipping and their general higher import pricing ($550 & up) in Japan for POSE+ items really brought this to $700 shipped, when normally it would be $600 or less. Even cheaper if no COVID and we can just EMS this for $50-60. Most collectors would see more value in a DX Voltes V with this price, with the Bandai quality, electronic gimmicks, loads of accessories, and fancy display stand...etc. Though I am a fan of Baikanfu, as well as a fan of POSE+, doing what they can to make high quality obscure gokin that can go toe to toe with Bandai (though they can be better with the box art and booklet ). Its like I know I am getting less with my money, but I want to show the support, especially when the product is top notch.
