This might have been answered before but is this blue one, GX-93, the same as the green one, GX-67? I am not familiar with Space Pirate Battleship Arcadia.
I love the green one. In fact, I love all of the SOC ships. GX-93 is really expensive though. Like 2x the price the price of GX-67 (this one was only released 6 years ago).
Thanks for answering my question.

They're good. Sometimes they might not fulfill all preorders for an item if its very anticipated but overall they're trusty.

Thanks for letting me know, Magmatron. Do they expect full payment upfront?

Considering it uses the same kind of remote as the new Yamato, I wonder if this Arcadia is compatible with the Gamilan battleship. I mean, they're from a completely different setting so probably not, but it'd be funny if it was.

Thanks for letting me know, Magmatron. Do they expect full payment upfront? You probably already know now, but no they don't require upfront paymen

Magmatron.... Yeah, no downpayment. I am glad I missed out of the bigbadtoystore preorder because it's like $50 more there, plus shipping.
Oh yeah, and I think if difference between GX-67 and GX-93. GX-93 is from the original show from the 70s and the GX-67 is from the 90s. Am I right?

thank you for this, i was looking for info about the show in general, couldnt find any info on where Death shadow appeared i watch the very first show (42 episode) and it started with Arcadia not the Death Shadow
i would look for the Galaxy Express movie
this hopefully will be the very first SOC space ship, it got me so bad with the paint and the skulls, im a sucker for pirates theme stuff, Mazinkaiser SKL, Gundam CrossBone, and now this

I think there's some version of Harlock where the other version of Arcadia appears as "Death Shadow", but it's definitely none of the originals.
The first Death Shadow that does appear in Arcadia of My Youth and Eternal Orbit SSX looks more like the Yamato but with a greatly exaggerated bow.
If you really want Death Shadow that badly and want to play pretend, Aoshima made a black repaint of the first Arcadia. Which is actually the second Arcadia, since SSX is basically a prequel. Look, the Leijiverse is confusing as hell so you can't get straight answers for any of your questions. If you try to make sense of it all you'll just end up with a headache, so I suggest you don't.

Thanks for the info, tetsuryu.
It's funny how I have almost all of the SOC releases but I think I am familiar with only 20% of them (Mazinger V, Voltes V, Daimos, Gaiking, Getter and Starblazers). Surprisingly, I had also no clue about my two fav SOC releases, Dancouga and Gunbuster, when they first came out. I since bought the dvds.

How come folks seem to be unhappy with the green one, GX-67?

How come folks seem to be unhappy with the green one, GX-67? I have a special love for the Arcadia from the 1982 Arcadia of my Youth movie & the subsequent 1983 TV series The design with this "Skull bow" is gorgeous, I have no special love for the blue version from the first TV series (albeit the TV series itself is excellent!). I certainly hope for a re-release of the GX-67

tetsuryu.... Just base on what I read here. As I mentioned, I am not familiar with this show so I am not biased. I love my GX-67. Plus, my favorite color is green. I am looking forward to getting the blue one, GX-93. I love the SOC ships. So glad I have them all. I even have the Yamato BPX (I don't collect beyond the SOC line).

I'll just wait and see if this thing ever hits a HLJ sale. If it doesn't, well, at least I got the Aoshima reissue from a few years back. That thing probably has more die cast than this anyway.
