Upon closer inspection, the black plastic actually has some metallic specks in it, so it's not as plain as I initially thought.
I took batteries from one of the Hulkbusters to test the LEDs, and it is quite amazing. The eyes are a brilliant yellow, and it also lights into the mouth which really looks good. The chest LED can stay lit solid, or a slow pulse which is a great effect and awesome.
Truly fun figure. It's a must have for anyone who collects Mazingers.

Nice to hear good feedback on this figure. I just wish mine arrives already. Been taking 5-6 weeks to get here (CA, US) from ShowZ and still waiting. Meanwhile, another order from them that shipped a week ago is already in CA on route. Somehow it took a long time for all the Zero orders to ship based on what I heard here, with mine being one of the slowest...

Somehow it took a long time for all the Zero orders to ship based on what I heard here, with mine being one of the slowest... I noticed the smaller packages from ShowZ are faster, and the larger boxes like this one use Surface and take much longer. It's the free shipping option so we're at the mercy whatever route they choose.

I thought someone had posted the Diego Doom review already- Hard to judge the quality on the piece since everything he reviewed is "absolutely fantastic".

Guys, I got MY Zero couple of days ago. The box is heavy as hell. Very VERY impressed with the weight. I don’t know when I’m gonna open it due to crappy adulting but I’ll chime in when I can. YEEEESSSSSSS!!!!!! Zero finally landed in San Francisco today! After radio silent for 2 weeks with no update on tracking. It should make its way to my door within a couple days. So glad it is not lost. Now hope for no crushed box surprises, as the CCS Toys boxes are so pretty.

Dear MPchi.
I just “half opened” my Zero and IF my package is any indication you have nothing to worry about.
ShowZ went beyond call of duty! They wrapped CCS Zero brown box with bubble wrap. It had black plastic corner protector for the said box. Then they put the whole thing in ANOTHER even sturdier brown box THEN put all them in a giant postal plastic bag…..(no toxic styro coffin wrap which I saw somewhere.)
The outer plastic bag and the sturdier generic box took a good beating . BUT the actual CCS box is safe and sound. Mind you, I’m sure CCS box is already been opened tho as they HAD to removed the batteries due to our policy….
I am very impressed with ShowZ. Again, I think anyone whom ordered from ShowZ can rest easy knowing that the package is super fortified. A 5star shipping and 5 star price. When I get more time, I can open the bubble wrap and examine the actual box and the content. Stay tuned hahaha.

A few years ago I bought the metal club Kshatriya from them and they did the same (the bad was that my proxy send me the box with all the extra packaging, and that weighted 1.2kg more of wrapping, around 100usd more for delivering it to my country) obviously it arrived perfectly. metal club Kshatriya packaging was just a flimsy white box and figure would have been destroyed during shipping otherwise.

Finally got my Zero. Just opened it and found out mine came with a unique "bobble head" feature. With closer inspection, turned out the clear yellow plastic socket of the neck ball joint inside the head cracked open and split in half. Gotta love it when I am so blessed. So the head comes off with little to no effort, as not much friction is left to hold it in place. I'll see if ShowZ can get me a replacement head from CCS Toys, but I am not betting on it. We'll see.
Initial impression of the figure (main body, haven't got to accessories yet) is very good. Heavy, big, sturdy, pose well, and the finish overall is good. Feels like an oversized Metal Build (friction only metal joints) but with less paint (black plastic aren't painted, but has some surface treatment). The 2 lower elbow joints on mine are on the looser side however (one side looser than the other), and I find the feet bottom not sculpted perfectly flat, causing the figure to wobble a bit no matter how flat I made the feet sit on the surface in different angles for a standing pose. Some finger joints are looser than others as well. Overall, this is a really good gokin for the price, though QC and minor fit and finish gave me a not so ideal experience handling the toy. Pretty much a close to perfect toy got messed up by QC for me.

Thanks for the tip. I'll email them directly instead. No doubt the figure is quality stuff. SRC is no contest, not even in the same league. Compared it to my Fewture EX Gokin, it didn't age as well as I thought. While nice it has a lot of clickies, the proportion and engineering is much nicer on CCS Toys Zero, and the clicky hip ratchets are wobbly. CCS Zero would have been pretty perfect, if not for the busted head and the couple looser joints. Once again I wish I could have access to the screws in the lower elbows/arms as that should have been an easy fix if I can open it. But everything is sealed tight and hidden.

most welcome, and exactly i was going to display it with the non combainers SOC and stuff but it just didnt fit with them so i put it with the big boys, Fewture and the DX's, and it fit perfectly
i still love my EX gokin since its the original zero and all, but i think this one is the best Zero ever made, articulation and all, the only thing i wish they added is closed fist the articulated one is cool but it could be tricky to close them

Good looking out S.!
I am too sorry to hear that MPchi. Def QC issue. I hope CCS do the right thing Godspeed.
I too played with mine and I also love it. The things bother ME is “squeaky squeaky mouse” shoulder joints and “Zero” external metal….If only he had metal feet, that would have made ME happy. To ME, it’s hard to call something a diecast figure when there NO metal on the OUTSIDE!
