Threezero's Robo-Dou Shin Getter 1 is coming up soon! Looks like they're taking a kind of EX Gokin approach to it. I really dig the ribs, hope we get to see the colored prototype soon. www.threezerohk.com/robo-dou-shin-getter-1/

Based on the toyline's previous entries, the price won't be too high. Both Patlabor & Eva 01 are priced below US$150. I see more issue with the sculpt, as the proportion is more divisive, loosing the iconic Shin Getter 1 silhouette (things got shortened when they are meant to be long, skinny when they were beefy, head got bigger while horns got shorter...etc.). But the sculpted details are interesting. Hopefully it gets better when we see a color prototype. If they are sticking to that price range, then it may still be a hot seller regardless.

Yeah, at first I wasn't too enthusiastic about it because of the silhouette, but the 2D line art changed my mind. I just hope it looks better in color and that the height and metal content is good. I'm hoping he'll at least be as tall as BB Optimus Prime at 11 inches.

That will be some acceptable range of prices if they stick between $150 - $200 it will make this thing sell and hopefully bring the other 2 into consideration .... poor 2 and 3 getters never see any action ...

Sorry about that but i have to be real.
Some of these sculptors go overboard with proportion.
Big chest, athletically thin waist...then they dont know what to do with thic muscular legs.
Now If he had a normal shoulders? This Shin would look "real sexy"...

I'm interested in this. Still waiting on ROBO-DOU's first release (Patlabor Ingram) so I can feel how these are in-hand, and see how much diecast are in these figures.

(HELLOOoooOOooOOO from the FUUUuuuUUUTUUUuuuUUUuuURE!)
I like the overall looks, but I agree with mpchi that it would look better with wider proportions and a smaller head.
The part I like the least has to be the "shoulder pads". Not because they look bad, but because it looks like they just wanted to do what Fewture did. The inspiration is just too obvious. Unless there's another source where Shin Getter looked like that. Other than on the EX Gokin, I've always seen it with ovoid shoulders.
I would have prefered a more anime-accurate take - like their Labor and EVAs - with their usual fantastic paint job... and then continue with Shin Getter 2 and 3.

According to Threezero's Facebook page, looks like we should have another look at this figure and also the Robo Dou Getter 1 this weekend during Good Smile Company's online event.

From ThreeZero's Facebook page: Looks like they're releasing two versions: anime and metallic colors. I still have the same opinion on the proportions, but I will buy the anime one for the amazing paintjob alone. I know some folks swear by the clean, shiny straight off the showroom floor looks, but just love a well-done dirty beat-up paintjob and ThreeZero's are amongst the best. That metallic red could look really good in person... mayyyybe I should just get... both?
