I see this as Bandai trying to Quash CCS.. (arguable yes, complete non sense? Maybe..or maybe not haha) Yeah same here. I wonder if the "Dragon Scale" name is just going to be for the Mashin Metal Builds, or to all non-Gundam Metal Builds in general so that they can make larger (9 inch) figures of Mazinger and Shin Getter to keep them in the same size range as CCS and Pose+.

Yeah...after what I've heard about the Max Gokin GGGG (I'm going to keep mine MISB to avoid the issues), I may have to look for the Bandai iteration. What issues? Disintegrating parts. A friend of mine has been packing up some of his collection for storage and he was telling me that his Max Gokin GGGG was literally falling apart on him. He basically just displays his toys only.

He basically just displays his toys only. I had Max Gokin Limited Green GGGG a few years back that started getting really small light cracks around the legs. Pretty scary and disappointing to find those flaws when they start showing up. My GGGG Final Ver. doesn't seem to have that issue though.

I don’t know what that is but that is not Shin Getter. That thing is wrong on all levels Its the drawing on the back wall, not the little figure. Yes I know it’s the picture in the banner and not the toy. From that picture you can see the shoulders are way too apart from the body, not to mention they have the [ ] symbol that should be reserved for the legs and chest. The leg design looks weird too. There’s too much happening that I don’t like. Sentinel already gave us a stylized Shin, honestly what we need from Bandai is an anime accurate Shin trio. You can save all your Getter Noirs and Getter Lizards, thank you so much, but we don’t need them. What we DO need and have been asking for for 2 decades is a Shin trio! How hard is that to understand Bandai?

EX Gokin is nice. But, generally speaking, most do not combine or have any gattai functions...So, from that perspective, they do lose a bit to Bandai.
you cant find any combining getter that is anime accurate since it used to of anime magic, maybe with the later model yes but the classic its nearly impossible
and if it some how manage to do so it will be very limited in the articulation department

That's fair enough. Again, depends on what a collector is looking for in a toy. Going back to the vintage days and if we are to use those as a benchmark to a degree of some of the greatest toys, most are "bricks". Articulation is not necessarily the pivotal feature when I'm after a toy but that does not diminish it's quality for others. Not an easy topic to debate.

I see this as Bandai trying to Quash CCS.. (arguable yes, complete non sense? Maybe..or maybe not haha) I hope CCS toys continues to give Bandai a run for their money. CCS' gurren lagann is an incredible figure and I hope they continue to push their toy engineering and sculpting skills. Their customer service for replacement parts is already far superior to anything Bandai has done to help their fanbase. Nice! I have the CCS Gurren on Preorder with BBTS. Can’t wait to get it but trying to to stay patient as I don’t know if it will arrive till 2020.

exactly, for me as a kid and as an adult i love playing with my figures specially doing hard core dynamic poses, i cant tell you how happy i was when finally got to do some poses with Combattler v both the FA and the Super Mini Pla scratched that need
in my opinion its like a fine meal where every ingredients must be good, for figures the build quality, the paint apps, the joints they used, the accessories and finally the durability, i can forgive them in the old days since the tech was very modest, however now we are on a whole new level its like 8bit vs 4k lol

Interesting topic. I'd have to say I'm a bit in the middle. I will probably only pose my bots 1 or 2 times and then primarily display them in that pose for as long as I have them or until I need to make room. But, I still appreciate all the articulation because somehow the thought of the figure being more of a statue and not being able to move much seems very disappointing and sad to me.
