It does look amazing. The price is making me hesitate though.

The panel is looking at a prototype for R-1. For those that don't know, SRX is a combiner formed from 3 robots- R-1, R-2, and R-3. Thanks! I was just about to ask that.

At first I thought it was actually 35 cm tall which would make it almost as tall as DX Voltes but that's only up to the top of the wings on the shoulder. Head hight is 31 cm. Still tall, but ruins the initial excitement.
If anyone is confident they're buying this, Anime Export and D4 have it for $40-50 less than other places.

If this came out 10-15 years ago, I would have bought this in a heartbeat. Used to love the SRX, played the games, watched the anime, and got some of the drama CDs. Even got the Volks/Banpresto SRX combiner set (still haven't opened) for roughly the price of this Riobot set many years ago. But as nice as this set looks, it doesn't appeal to me in a way I feel like I need to order this thing right away. Plus considering Sentinel's not so good track record on combiners, and the nature of the pretty fiddly and complex combination of the SRX, I can see this set being more of a display piece than a gokin I can handle a lot (Just look at R-3 by it self). Having a harder time to tell myself I really need this, when I still have a SRX set (though much inferior in quality) sleeping in storage never seen the light of day.

I was also wondering about the combined form stability. It is not just three robots combining, there are so many pieces holding this thing together. The waist alone is held together by pieces of R2 and R3. This piece will be structurally very challenging. I pray they use the right materials that offers the right amount of flexibility and rigidity. (So many points of contacts, so many places for things to get scratch.) It looks old but not quite retro cool, never a big fan of the ski mask look. It really does not have distinctive so many designs have reiterated on that look. (It really reminds me of a lot of the recent Gundam build fighter's designs)

(It really reminds me of a lot of the recent Gundam build fighter's designs) The ski google is a homage of the Banpresto logo, sort of putting their brand logo on the Super Robot face they created for their SRW game franchise back then. Here is the older but slower combination sequence of the SRX, which shows better the folding and structural connections of the combination. It does raise questions how Sentinel is going to make the figure solid and holding together, and one of my concerns. A lot of folding on all 3 mechs, and R-3 body being the whole hip and leg connections is not encouraging. Its cool when animated or in the game, but being a 31cm tall gokin is a different story.

Sentinel's official site info and pics. Visually does look very impressive. sen-ti-nel.co.jp/other_information/6015/For those that haven't seen the SRX team in action, here is a compilation of their appearance in SRWOG Moon Dwellers. Gotta love the 'eye beam' from the goggle has the shape of the Banpresto logo, even the sound effect of the logo load screen LOL.

Not to odd... this are like 3 GFFMC that can combine, this time I can think its a reasonable price.

Just was able to pre-order the team from Showz. Its funnily priced like any sentinel product, but Im kind of glad that the end figure will as tall as Pose+ Baikanfu. Hope the end product is worth it.

I'm gonna wait to see what US retail is charging and with free shipping if possible. Shipping from Japan is too unpredictable- who knows what the situation will be like by end of the year.

I wish i could say it will be fine by the end of the year but I said the same thing last year when EMS first stopped and how by the end of 2020 it would be resolved.

BBTS pricing doesn't even make sense. It's cheaper in total to get them individually than the set.

Yeah, BBTS pricing can be kind of odd when it comes to some import stuff. I still use them a lot, but only on things that made sense.

BBTS a lot of the time when things first come up have out of wack pricing and they will adjust it once they get a firm pricing from their distributors. Getting preorders probably helps them get better allotments and pricing is my guess.
