I picked up three of the re-releases from different sellers, and all three have small cracks running up their stomachs/chests. I assume this is pretty common, if not present in all. Does anyone have any that don't have cracks? Do even the vintage ones have this problem?

Do you mean the NeoHenshin Cyborgs or the reissue vintage style ones? Most NHC's have cracks, but my reissue vnintage style doesn't.

I believe its the Neo Henshin Cyborgs (like these: mykooltoyz.tripod.com/nhc.html). Not sure what the reissue vintage style ones are - I am new to this line. |

Yeah, those almost always have cracks in the chest, but not 100% of the time. When you're buying off the internet from Japan, you don't have much of a chance to inspect the goods. I don't find it such a big deal though.

This forum, actually. I think it was a photo of the Dokuro King that first caught my attention. I'd love to get one, but its well beyond my budget!! The next most desireable thing to me was the Neo Henshin Cyborg with the crab claw - pretty damn awesome. I still haven't managed to get that one yet, but as I said, I have 3 others.

Welcome, KingboyD. Hold on because Henshin Cyborg stuff seems to be going down in price, and turning up on Ebay more often. I expect the reissue Dokuroking will be popping up from time to time, even though he was released in seriously limited numbers. The reissue figures, not to be confused with the Neos, don't crack, but have other issues (see the other thread). I got a load of Neo HCs recently and one of the rarer ones, the Copper, had a really cracked chest. Fortunately the seller, Heavyarmscustom, who is another regular here, was very obliging and sent me a replacement chest front. I also got the lobster claw, which is easily the best Neo weapon unless you dig Geoffrey the giraffe.

I feel its a real pity that takara didnt continue with the cyborg 99 line especially sice as far as i can tell the figures had no quality issues atall. I dont have any of the costumes so cant comment on these but the basic bodies and walder weapons seem fine. I actually have reissue dokuroking costume on walder general 99 as it seems theres no reaction between the plastic....hopefully.
