Yeah, big reason I passed. That and the "refined" design.
Carbotix STARTED out as having CARBON as a material. That's what set the line apart. But they dropped that on Getter 1.
Material wise, Carbotix line was regressing....
I hope they bring back Carbon AND diecast back on Voltron.

Combiner confirmed. How hefty is the die cast for Mekanda Robo? If I remember right it was only in the knees or something? The figure is very, very light. Which was why I passed on it. Nice paint but hardly worth the SRP IMHO. Gold |

I read on FB that it was stated that this will be 38cm tall which means it will be way bigger than the SOC and be big time $$$$

Are they known for expensive products? I am highly interested in this release. Carbotix is never cheap. The recent Mekanda is actually theier cheaper entry because of little to no diecast. Their other robot releases cost more. $300+ for non transforming stuff. |

How much better will this be than the SoC which -- I gather a few of you have multiples of with the recent reissue? <shrugs>
I mean, sure...good to have more renditions. But, between the Bandai, the Masterpiece, and etc...I think I'm going to pass if the price is that much.

Blitzway has not set a price and has not made official announcement. I think they are going off previous figures from this company. Though looking at their other products. Their prices are rather high. I expect it will also be very limited and hard to get. |
