It is like holding a small chihuahua almost. LOL...from the video below. View AttachmentOh wow! Am I right or am I right? LOL.. But on the flip side, if they did the body in diecast, the thing would be super heavy... Would be interesting if someone scanned the body and 3d printed from metal... but I would suspect the legs may not be able to support the weight... I would though would have liked to have the head of gaiking be able to be installable on the head... I know it doesnt make sense in terms of proportions but that would totally bring back those GA-50 memories for me...

You can switch the heads on Daiku with either the more proportionate head or the head used for Gaiking.

So they have something like that if you buy the Option Parts set, though it may only improve it to an extent.

Im not too picky if the head ends up too big since the GA50 looked liked that as well... Just the horns have to be proportional...

You can see the horn size difference here, as well as the dragon head shape on the upgrade.

Yeah, it fits, goofy as hell though. Yeah, that's always a problem with any Daiku/Gaiking figure. In the cartoon Daiku's head magically transforms and gets flatter and wider when Gaiking is assembled. Otherwise the long jaw/snout would be sticking way out making Gaiking look pregnant. I noticed the skull is also wider for some reason...

Bigger Gaiking, bigger scull.

I think the issue becomes even though the horns are larger, the skull is larger too which still keeps the head disproportional...lol. If they had kept the head assembly separate from the skull then perhaps mixing it up may make the original gaiking skull match up with the wider horns more proportional if placed on the daiku... Oh well, beggars cant be choosers....lol

I noticed the skull is also wider for some reason... The skull is wider near the chest area but also gets narrower by the waist. It's to give Gaiking more heroic proportions compared to the "beer belly" super robot look it sometimes had lol.

But is that anime accurate? ( I kinda like the beer belly. I can relate to him more that way)
But As long as it’s accurate, I guess I’m ok with thinner skull

On a 70s anime, I don't know if "anime accurate" is always a good thing.

Im not too focused on anime accuracy either... the figure has to look good and proportional. Too bad there is not an expandable skull mechanism that allows for a more proportionally pleasing daiku head as well as on gaiking...

GX-100 now 40% off on Amazon JP! Just did the math and that's about $93 USD less than I paid, including shipping and tax. That's good for those interested. I also just realized that I did pay 12% tax at Amazon JP. In a previous post I had said that I was charged no tax. That's because I didn't see a tax in the "order details" which is in USD, but I just looked at the actual invoice which is in Yen and I do see a 12% tax now. I apologize for the inaccurate information I shared before!
