I received mine and it's awesome! Looking forward to the option parts now.
Edit- after a few days out of the box:
I've mainly been playing with the DM. Playing with it reminds me of playing with the Kenner ESB AT-AT as a kid, as far as being a two-handed toy with some size to it.
It's really nice to look at. Beautiful paint. It poses very naturally and dynamically, with a range of emotional expression.
I'm looking forward to the option parts because it has a stand for DM to fly.

Hi guys, here's my review for the Gx-100 Gaiking and Daiku Maryu set. (Note: the review is quite long. So please bear with me). Please click on the image to jump to the page. Simply incredible! Bandai really pulled off an amazing release for their "100th" figure. Impressive shelf presence, beautifully executed and is fun to handle. I just wish it was a complete "all in" package, with the optional parts included, but alas. Still, this is one release that shouldn't be missed. Slightly OT, but I decided to do some retro-reviewing while I had the other Chogokin Gaikings out (I didn't have time to work on Gx-05/R though, maybe another time). Please enjoy. Gold, Thank you very much for that awesome review. I very much enjoyed the review, the pictures, the stories, the humor, the animated gifs, the warnings and care tips, and the funfacts.

Gold... Thanks for the review. I also like what you wrote:
"While I’m personally excited to see what the line brings next (more Gaogaigar!!), hopefully it won’t take another 25 years for Bandai to truly wrap up the line."
I wanted the SOC line to end at 100. I don't have room and I wanted closure.
It wasn't like I was going to stop at 100 (I have all the regular releases, except for 98 and 99--still waiting for them to arrive). I was planning on getting all the variants... 168+ releases (like you mentioned).

Thanks Robofestivus, I'm glad you enjoyed the review. It took about 2-3 days to write up (after about a week of binge watching the series for notes. ) Gold... Thanks for the review. But if they do plan to end the line at some point, I would prefer they make it official and not just let it fade out without any fanfare (Soul Spec and SRC come to mind). I think we, as folks who've supported the line for 25 years, all deserve at least that. Gold

Good review, Gold. Almost makes me wish I could have spared the space for it. How are you going to display this beast?

Good review, Gold. Almost makes me wish I could have spared the space for it. How are you going to display this beast? Thanks Magmatron. Hmm... hehe, that is a very good question. Especially when they roll out the optional parts set for it. I haven't really set up a collection display area yet (I'll get there someday, maybe when the kids are older). The best one can hope for is to display it at 45 degree angle. No way you can pose this facing straight outwards, unless you're using some sort of island display case for it. It will definitely take some planning and huge chunk of space any way you put it. awesome review Gold not doubt this is the figure of the year 2021, its just jaw dropping sadly i dont have any attachments to Gaiking and since last year i came up with a new rule i will only get stuff that matter to me, stuff that i need Thanks S_Gokin. That's a good rule. Way too much stuff coming out and I think at this point, a lot, if not all, of us are nearing "critical mass" in our collections. Stuff just keeps on coming, not to mention with the crazy inflation pricing, we all have to choose more wisely. Gold

Great review Gold... It seems it is a very solid release, add its impressive size, and we have a great release. I really like gaiking, even when I don't know the source material. As I'm trying to complete my go nagai's army probably will try to get one at some point in the future. I was happy with my ET gaiking set, but the GX100 looks better and it has daikyu maru... I hope they do a reissue at some point in the future. I agree with the box sizes becoming a great problem, I'm a fan of sentai toys and I already have enough big boxes. S_gokin I made a similar rule: never double dip the same character. I'm close to the point where I will have most of the mechas I like... probably I will retire and just keep getting the MB and GFFMC gundams I'm into (mostly UC and main Gundam for other universes)

Sounds to me like a good rule. its working for me
you know back in 2021 i was putting my collection into a new cabinet, and i was happy and proud with most of it, but some figures made me scratched my head asking why the heck did i get that
so i came up with this rule and i can tell you im rediscovering this hobby again and its all pure love and enjoyment like when i started collecting
i finally managed to finish my "most wanted list"

im still not in this level yet lol
dont get me wrong i dont double dip on the same robot thats im not very very familiar with
but im a sucker for the classic super robots i used to watch as a kid, i think about it as a different flavor of the robot, if i need accuracy i go with Bandai, if i need a modern take i go with Fewture and so on
same here im almost done with the mechs i want, i just need those from my most wanted list

The batteries come pre-installed! So, make sure to take them out if you plan to leave the toy displayed for a long period of time. If the batteries start to leak, it will ruin the battery chamber and affect the electronics. Gold Gold, So collectors who want to keep their GX-100 mint-in-box are out of luck? Any suggestions? Thanks!

I finally get mine last week!! What to say about it? A personal holy grail, all i wanted since gx-05 released; a big, beatifull Daikumaryu with a impresive size and precense.
My only complain is the limited articulation in gaiking legs, but thats ok. Im really in love with the set, and im planing to buy a second copy to have with the upgrade set.
Fan or not of gaiking, if you are into super robots, this piece is a must get.
Get it now, before it dissapears and price sky rocketed!

Yeah, too bad the batteries for this release are already installed. With that in mind, how long does it take before the batteries begin to corrode?

You can easily remove then... just unscrew and take it out.

RoboFestivus... That's me. I don't want to open my GX-100 unless I have to (installed battery issue).
