It is good news, but once again, how many Alteisen do I have to re-buy? Already have 2 gokin of it. Love the toyline, love the mech, but have to see how impressive it will be before deciding to get one. Also being in this line will make Alteisen quite out of scale to current SRW figures and the upcoming Riobot SRX.

Yeah...there is always a page or two of whiny skeptics (myself included) posts with "Don't know about this...", then a couple months later become "So buying this! Preordered!"

Honestly more excited about their Leopaldon announcement.

I'm glad Flame Toys aka Sentinel takes a long time to release their figures, and they are more spread out and not month after month like Bandai. Gives my wallet time to breathe.

Flame Toys is good quality but recently, through reviews of the Leo Kaiser (Starsaber add on), the Sentinel waist joint CURSE is back again... The combined form can NOT hold the pose with a heavy backpack due to a weak waist joint. How they let this happen. I understand they could not produce the 2 toys at the same time but honestly you can expect things and design a proper joint... In such case, any 3p company is offering FREE replacement part or new joint design for customers, licenced brands, I can bet they DO NOT :/ The rerun of Sentinel Mazinkaiser is marketed with "NEW JOINT DESIGN"... The early version was a huge flop. The figure can't be posed without stand. Maybe it's time to hold preorder and wait reviews... Like gamers and resist the "early access free weapon pack"

I know that they did it before and many times but I like flame toys doing other licenses. I hope that alteisen looks phenomenal alongside the srx.

I know that they did it before and many times but I like flame toys doing other licenses. I hope that alteisen looks phenomenal alongside the srx. Their scale will be quite off, if Alteisen is following the size and detail of previous Kuro Kara Kuri releases. Alteisen is a custom Gespenst, which is supposed to be around the height of R1. But the Kuro Kara Kuri Alteisen might be twice as big as the Riobot R1 in toy form. The old SRC Alteisen or the Unifive Alteisen would scale much better. I am not worried about Alteisen's waist joint. But for the Starsaber combo, yeah, it was too huge and heavy...Not sure why everyone jumped onto the MB hype train and make them these days. Metal joints while feels nice and premium initially, it doesn't have longevity. You either don't pose the figure too much, or you risk it loosen up really fast. I'll take good old ratchets any day over metal friction joints.

This is Flame toys take on this SRW ALTEISEN? What is everyone thoughts on the design? (My preference is for a little more curve like the original design). Would like to test drive this figure but will have to just watch the after action report (reviews) given the price tag. Need to be more financial prudent this year.

Would like to test drive this figure but will have to just watch the after action report (reviews) given the price tag. Need to be more financial prudent this year. Proportion a bit off, torso too small and narrow, and some curves would have been nice. It still looks cool, and quality should be pretty good in line with Flame Toys TFs. But being on the bigger size, it might be a harder buy for collectors unless you really like Alteisen, as it is not in scale with most SRW stuff in the market. I like Alteisen and collect SRW stuff, and I do collect some Flame Toys too, but I may pass on this one. It might appeal to Metal Build crowds though, as it has the matching look and size. Just doesn't go with the SRW stuff I (and most people) have. Looks good 3/4 view (as in most of their promo photos), but shows the disproportionate small narrow torso straight on (compare to the HG kit that is much closer to the lineart design).

Not sure if there's another more current thread about it, but Hacchaka just posted his pictorial review:
Wotafa's yt-review should be up soon, too.
also, be aware that it has an acknowledged heel/ankle instructions-issue from FlameToys' own tweet:

I don't quite understand the auto translation. Are they saying that the heel joint is excessively stiff and that you should just heat it before moving it?

It just sound like there are 2 separate joints on the heel that was not shown clearly in the instructions (covered by the leg skirts below the ankle ball), and those joints can get a bit stiff due to colder temperature. Warming it a bit (blow dryer I suppose) will make it move easier. More like a precaution thing than anything wrong, seems like.

Hello,
Just now, less than 10 minutes ago the mailman came with the Alteisen. Early, early impressions.
+Stunning. Like I have some flame toys figures (Tarn, Megatron, The Fallen) and this one is my favorite in terms of designs.
-Articulation feels stiff, feels like it will break at any moments. The head atenna came unplugged.
EDIT: After some handling the thing improved a bit. Leg articulation felt limited at first, now feels great. I will see if this is worth the price after some days.

I received mine recently and the joints are excessively tight, and you can't help but feel that they're about to snap. Hopefully more play loosens them up. I wish there were more reviews and impressions on this thing to better know to handle it.
