looks like i need to go to Japan and bi**h slap each and everyone in Bandai (even tea boys)
good news the line is alive but this for a GX101 ? and im sure the GX102 will be Daitetsujin 18
we saw those already Action Toys did an amazing job with both, not to mention they are bigger than this (20cm) correct me if im wrong please
is it to much to ask for Bismarck or another super robot that we didnt have a modern take on ?
if they wanted a tokusatsu robot why not Big Dai X ?
if the SOC line is going to die its because those on control are stupid

Might get this one since my only Worldscope Daitetsujin 17 doesn`t transform. But not that excited about it to be honest, as we have a few good D17 releases already the past few years, in different flavors. Big, sturdy, and clicky? We have Worldscope. Transforming gokin? We have Action Toys. Retro tokusatsu look? We have Action Toys' 2.0. Though it looks like Bandai did try to one-up the others by having more refinements (no fists swap, light but eyes, opening lower legs...etc). Not complaining per se, but SOC tends to kill the hype lately with the more significant numbered releases. GX-100, we got something cool, but already seen from more than a year ago. GX-101, here is more of something you already got. The surprise tends to come from reaction on Bandai's choice "why did you do that?!", rather than from the excitement of the toy release.

I missed the AT one, but probably will get this one. Looks cool (AT was cool too). It is nice to have It in scale with other tokusatsu stuff (sh monsterarts, ultraman and the SOC stuff)

How disappointing but not unexpected really. I wished the Bismarck or even Albegas got that slot to he honest. Maybe a Pre-Zyuranger Sentai Mecha especially the older ones.

A disappointment for me....
Action Toy made a great rendition of him very recently. Lot closer to source material.
But I am intrigued to see how better Bandai version will be.

As I don't have any version of D17 yet, I am very pleased with this being the next SOC. That being said there are a lot of other robots that I think Bandai could have released. I am with everyone here that we need a SOC Albegas.

OH YES!!! Must get even though it is just 17cm tall... ... And he has a TON of diecast. Shoulders, upper arms, torso, hips, lower legs and feet?! That’s a real Gokin. At least Bandai is turn the ship around on that department. A huge plus.

Looks like early drawings had a larger head for more man-in-suit style proportions. Too bad they didn't follow through.

Yeah, I’d much preferred the “norma” sized head. Best case scenario is if Bandai would give us an optional larger head too.(yeah RIGHT!!) Bandai team SOC rather give us a elaborate base that most of us never care about…. Annoying. I might get Action Toys one (just to lie to myself Bandai actually care about that HARHARHAR) At least it’s not another crappy “R”

thing is there is alot of good Jeeg's releases, in matter of fact even the awful SRC is consider good in term of scale to the SOC but thats it lol
i totally understand your feeling i want the best company to do my wish list robots, even if someone else did a great job, i want to see how would they reply
an example, Voltron and dairugger
another point there is some real legit popular robots they just love to ignore like Gattaiger and Gakeen, i mean come on why they are ignoring them like that ?
if they are afraid that they wont sell make them a TWE items like they do with some products

Ignoring Gattaiger is a true mystery to me too….
5Pro had a super beautiful Robotizer proto but Typhoon Kim says unfortunately there no real market for it….He’d rather not gamble. I understand that. But Bandai gambles on WAY more riskier licenses because it can afford to. I wish it would take its chance on Robotizer.
I mean, if D2 can be made by ba$t*rdizing Getter Dragon, why can’t Robotizer made in same way? Just Basterdize GX7.

Jeeg will happen sooner or later (I'm really happy with my ET one, even got their panteroid). When it comes to gattaiger I've lost my faith in bandai and got the HL Pro one, its a nice figure, The gattaiger is so heavy and is almost 90% metal, roboizer is like an old SOC. Bandai, as most big companies, plays safe, they may miss but they won't risk much, that's why I miss ET Dynamite action line. It was full of obscure robot, some releases were really cool, their gakeen, jeeg, shin jeeg, groizer X, robot junior and many not combiners. Their combiners were pretty bad (but I loved my arbegas, still think it is the best Arbegas out there). I've sold the arbegas, two getters but still keep the groizer X, gaiking and the Kotetsu Jeeg and panteroid. Regret not getting and would probably get for a good price their Gakeen, Kotetsushin jeeg and robot junior.
