Very nice sculpt...though, not meant to 'hate' but the open mouth seems...weird. And can be interpreted in such a wrong way. <runs away>

I received the Riobot Raideen today First impression- small Even though I knew it was going to be 18cm-
because all the new figures I got recently have been larger,
like CCS and MoShow Date....my brain was not expecting that However it is sculpted and painted beautifully. greengetterguy will say it is too sharp. It's very sharp like the SKL. It will stab you as you are handling it. It will scale more with your SRC rather than SOC. With the detailed sculpt, it'll prob look more in place with your Riobot SRX and other Super Robot Wars figures.
For 145-150 it's fair. Go nab one from a Japan store.
Glad I didn't pay whatever BBTS was asking They want $265 for Riobot Raideen. Def not worth that.

Finally opened mine. Contrary to my initial impression, Raideen is not that small. It is almost exactly the size of the SOC Raideen. Same legs length, same shoulder height, same face size. Though Riobot Raideen has a shorter torso, neck, and 'crown', so it is a tad shorter than the SOC, but not by much (exact same height as Metal Build Mazinger Z). But one thing SOC had it beat...the weight. Riobot Raideen has diecast elbows, hips, and knees. But it is still among the light side of Riobot's spectrum. The God Gogun bow can really get in the way of things once equipped on the left arm, especially when wings are attached. And I do wish they made the neck a tad longer, so it doesn't tend to look like Raideen is hunching every time you pose and moved the shoulders a bit.
What I really like about this? Everything else! Very solid tight joints. Nothing wobbles when you shake the figure (the exact opposite of the SOC). Excellent range of articulation. Amazing sculpt and paint job. The wings add some weight to cause the figure to have the tendency to fall backwards, so you have to pose the figure leaning forward a bit. But what is impressive is that the sculpt has already compensated that lean, making it look as if there was no lean, and forms a perfect curve on the thigh and lower leg fins lining up. It shows Sentinel paid a lot of close attention to detail engineering this. At about $150 shipped, this is a great buy. One of Sentinel's best, if you don't mind the smaller size and light weight. Go get one.

Chinese shop that started on ebay, has been very reliable since 2015 or so. They gained such a huge following from the TF community due to their consistency (contrast to many other Chinese scammers on ebay) they decided to open their own site so no more ebay fees. I've been using them to buy mostly TF 3rd party, but they've expanded to super robots and other figures. If you live in the US, you'll notice their prices are usually better than shops like TFSource, BBTS, etc. Due to ShowZ Store success other reliable Chinese ebay sellers have also started their own websites (bababobo00712, Bombusbee, TerryTFsClub, TF-Direct, etc.)

Appreciate this info. I could use a good source for TF stuff

ShowZ is good. Even offers free shipping, though slow like a snail (my CCSToys Zero took a couple months to get here in US). Recently I tried the Express for just $8 more, took about 2 weeks. Not too bad, and way better deal compare to other places' shipping fee. But ShowZ's prices can be a bit random. Sometimes they are really cheap, sometimes they charge way too much. Double check the prices on the item before you buy.

Yup mpchi added a good tip. Always just double check the prices before hitting the buy button. Another thing, their "membership" is quite worth it if you buy a lot of stuff throughout a year.

Super small. Definitely not worth the $200 I paid for it. Totally regret wasting my money.

I wonder if the Riobot would fit in the SOC Fade-In set, esp. front to back. I'm pretty sure I couldn't stuff the Fewture version in there, but both look better overall than the SOC

I'm pretty sure I couldn't stuff the Fewture version in there, but both look better overall than the SOC While I don't have the Fade-In set mountain to test, that thought came to my mind and I looked up photos to see. From what I can tell, Riobot would fit, but only if you take off all the wings with no backpack and accessories. Just the figure, the size is almost the same as the SOC side by side (like 1-2 mm shorter, as I do have both figures). But the Fade-in mountain is mainly meant for displaying the gold unarticulated Raideen prop in it (and the SOC with no accessories on), which has no accessories and nothing on the back, so the inner volume of the mountain is shallow. So this would be my guess.

I might go back to get the artstorm gold as well since I lagged because I heard back then from others who got it that the weight wasn't hefty as the other artstorm figures... Oh well. Gold just works on Reideen somehow.... I know I know.. should be plated but think a few years down the line and the gold plating might have oxidized.... paint will still be durable...
