RIP my SOC GX 102 The joints too fragile for some pose cause easy break and loose because its made only by plastic Cmon bandai ... its SOC line you threat like shogakukan line Not cheap but dissapointing me The joint is only plastic to hold the entire heavy metal legs I dont know what the bandai enginering thinking for design these ..... Man that is not cool. Sorry to see that.

Dang...Bandai is really trying to be Aoshima from couple decades ago. Not just on the visuals, but down to the simple/bare bone engineering. Sorry to see the breakage man.

oh wow sorry to see man
if you remember the first review we saw the whole arm came off but the reviewer managed to attach it back in, i know you tried but maybe its the same case with the legs ?
i saw in your pics, there is not breakage marks or parts in the actual joint so there might be a way to attach them ?
if its really broken then seriously WTH Bandai !? this is the same stupid mistake i criticized Riobot for,
this is wrong no company should do this poor engineering especially with this price tag, really i cant wait for mine now to fully check it out

Mine was OK. In fact I really love the figure and played with it a lot (did some extreme posing with it and the gx75 mazinkaizer). Too bad to hear yours ended up like that... but as S_ said that does not seems to be broken but out of place, maybe you can try to reattach it with patience and care (or disassemble it and attach it again but that's will be an ultimate measure to me)

okay i just got mine and to the good news gunvalion the figure is not broken you can easily attach it back in make sure you hear a very tiny and silence click when you do with that off way i feel like SKL is kinda of a downgrade they built it on the on the regular Mazinkaiser structure so the limitation is there very disappointing, but over all the figure is quite good looking especially with the cape on, surprisingly all the cons that i pointed to earlier are true why not cloth cap instead of this stupid plastic, the dude who came with the idea of taking the head off to attach the face or the cape should get an uppercut by Mike Tyson its super annoying you have to idea overall im happy that i finally got SKL in the SOC line but i dont feel its hard to beat, Bandai came short on this one WAAAAAY short

Alright after handling the figure and going through everything I can tell you this with %100 confidence this is the MOST disappointing figure of the year (last two years for me)
This figure is a prove that Bandai lost it, and the new team is bunch of noobs with ZERO knowledge and ZERO passion, I mean every time they change (add) logo, the quality get lower and lower First off and from what I know SKL is not a combiner so why in hell everytime I handle it or try to change the pose EVERYTHING falls down, you name it pilder, head, arms, elbows, legs and that damn chest piece this is a noob mistake not a mistake by a company with history like Banadai
There is just no way is this made by Bandai this must be a sub contract it feels less than any SOC I ever handled, There is a placed reserved in hell for the team who supervised this, design and engineering wise
It’s just made to be cheap the red part above the face is glued and with mine they didn’t put enough so it came off while I was attaching it, the cape which looks even worse in person The MB Gundam crossbone have a cloth cape and you don’t have to pull its head off in order to put it on! You mean to tell me that the SOC line which supposed to be a higher tier felt short vs the MB line?
Whoever came up with pull heads out in order to attach\remove accessories need to be kicked in face but only after an uppercut, this is poor engineering and its passionately stupid Another point whats with the extremely sharp points? if you read sharp in the booklet they mistranslated that, its warning you will get stabbed, shoulders, fins on the forearms and sword, another stupid thing to do
From what I saw they built it around the same parts of the regular mazinkaiser which is not bad or wrong since they are about the same but to gave it the same range of articulation is sincerely stupid its like saying hey lets give Daimos the same range of articulation of Boss Borot
I compared it with the older SRC’s and I can see they tried to mix all the three into this release but failed miserably, I enjoyed handling and final count version waaay better than the SOC even when try to pose it, it looked more natural compared to the SOC
I don’t recommend getting this figure unless you find it on sale

MB is the top tier in bandai engineering... SOC is behind it. I assume you dont have X1 crossbone or You wouldn't be telling that about the cape... that thing is a nightmare... I tried to attach it once and it has so many stupid parts that I decided to never try again. I got stabbed many times by this guy... literally has my blood on it. Agree with you Articulation is a bit basic but it's hold really well against gx75 (I took it out of the box just to play with both kaisers). I don't think this one is a bad release (not like getter ark). In my opinion it is a very basic figure (just like the DC releases). If you expect something like ccs or riobot this one is not for you.

hehehe i see what you did here you evil man lol
thank you for your kind words and for your trust
from what i know the SOC have more heritage and its above the MB, the MB line started in early 2011 while the SOC line started on 1997, also the prices are way different, but i could be wrong
i do have the X1 Cross Bone and he was very angry that you forgot about him and now he is coming to get you
it was my 3rd MB figure after Mazinger and Great Mazinger (hopefully i will add Grendizer to them)
as for the cape i heard some wild story about it, the only annoying part for me was putting it together, but after playing around with it, i figured out how to handle it and how to pose it. for me its among the best capes ever made, i really wanted SKL to have an improved version or something close to it, but no here is the same exact awful plastic cape that you got with the SRC version but with different effect
if you compare SOC SKL to the SRC SKL you will notice that the SRC looks more natural and a bit easy to pose unlike the SOC SKL, as you know SKL is a very agile robot in both battle modes swords or guns so i wanted it to be better than this
for me i think the SOC SKL is half baked it could be waaay better than this but they went with the easy and didnt bother
the articulation system was great for GX75 but for the GX102 it was a downgrade, i forgot to mention when you move the torso it make that awful squeaks sound come on Bandai what happened to the jaw dropping engineering

Sharp parts gotten so far out of line, I begun sanding them down…seriously, I WANT to HANDLE my figure.
How you supposed to pose it without bleeding?

I JUST thought of something right NOW.
Haha Bandai should include a pair of THOSE with this piece just like how they included those white cotton gloves they included on couple of their exclusives… ( or Atleast a 800 grit wet sandpaper to sand those liable sharps down…)
Because This thing will scratch and poke your eyes out if you dare to TRY to “kiss test” for metal parts…whooooo~

the legs joints are metal and ones you reattach them to the body, you must hear two clicks not so loud not so silence but you will definitely feel it
the plastic joints are in the shoulders and elbow, the shoulders on mine didnt fall as much as the elbows, over all the figure is not highly articulated its the same range of articulation as the GX75, the joints are crazy tight thats why parts fall off often

Do we have a fix for the breast plate falling off?
nope so far nothing is legit, there was a who added something to the pegs to make them thicker so they dont fall
for me i used the bigger breast plate they stay in better and they dont fall off as easy

Got my copy in. My only complaint is the chest plate falling off which could have been an easy fix by including a static chest but I guess that's for 3rd party part people to figure out. The guns hold on the chest fine until you shove the gold skull in. It seems like it's pushing the two pegs on the guns apart just enough to ruin the connection. I would try sanding it, but I feel like that would ruin the connection without the guns Also I don't see anyone mention that two of the arm ammo clips are removable. It's a nice touch
