This doesn't matter AT ALL to Bandai. Grendizer/Goldrack has to be top 10 of most well known anime robots globally. Unfortunately, the US was mostly limited to Transformers, Voltrons, and Robotech- and with the latter two, we got re-edited watered down versions instead of the originals.
It would seem Grendizer is the next logical release, but they've gone with Combattler V and Voltes V instead. Now some people want Daimos. So who know- could be God Sigma or Eva-01 next because Bandai likes to troll S_Gokin
Eva-01 will be the best thing ever money will be saved, but it will be awful as well since we will have to wait more for Grendizer
thing is and from what we thought they were doing the same order in the SOC line, Mazinger z, Great Mazinger, Combattler V then Grendizer we thought the same exact thing in the DX line but nope they gave us Voltes and Gaiking (was revealed as a DX at first)
as a collector and as a completionist i dont like to have empty spots in my collection now i have two in the DX line Grendizer first then Daimos

For DX series: Nagai trio - Mazinger and Great Mazinger. Missing Grendizier. Robot Romance Trilogy - Combattler V and Voltes V. Missing Daimos. Given the trend of DX releases, one would think Bandai would release Grendizer but they changed it up after Great Mazinger by releasing Combattler and then Voltes. Who knows what Bandai will do / release next? Everyone has their wishlist but you should take a grain of salt with anything posted on the internet. My 2c. Aaaahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! We might get Voltron I then Voltron II...and then never get a Voltron III.

I never put two and two together and realized that were releasing in the same order as the Soul of Chogokin line! That means my beloved Getter Dragon is YEARS away!

It is rare to know about Mazinger Z, and not know about Great Mazinger. And it is rare to know about the Mazinger bros, without knowing Grendizer. They are a trio and closely connected, even if you don't have exposure to the actual show or movies. Just look at their colors"] Not rare if you grew up in the US in the 1970s and your exposure to Super Robots was the Shogun Warriors.

Does anyone born in the US care about Grendizer? Personally, I never even heard of him until I was in my 40s. no one cares about what anyone born in the US care about period we are talking about Grendizer here which is already huge in Japan, Europe especially in France and Italy, the Arabic regions especially in the middle east
and im not talking about been huge when it was on the air, nope its still huge to this day
even if no one born in the US care about it, the robot have a huge strong demand from multiple nations
No disrespect to Grendizer fans. I hope you get him! It's just curious to me that they don't try to push more of the Shogun Warriors Super Robots that US fans know like Getter Dragon, Reideen and Gaiking. I mean, I'm a US fan and I'm buying this stuff because of Shogun Warriors!

When I was a little kid in America, all we had was: - Great Mazinga aka Great Mazinger - Dragun aka Getter Dragon - Raydeen aka Reideen - Gaiking Other Japanese centric stuff from my generation's US childhood was: - Godzilla - Ultraman - Johnny Sokko and His Flying Robot - Space Giants - Kimba the White Lion - Marine Boy - Spectreman - Astro Boy - Speed Racer - Star Blazers Many of my generation in the US saw Voltron and Transformers as kiddie.

I checked your age and you were like 15 years old when Transformers and Voltron came out. 16 years old when Robotech came out. So I can see why you think they're "kiddie". The maturity level for viewer content like Transformers and Voltron is no different from any of those 1960's and 1970's shows you listed. So not sure why and how you can label Transformers and Voltron as "kiddie" when all the shows you listed are just as "kiddie", if not more. You're only differentiating between them because of what age you were at the time of broadcast which isn't a strong argument at all. lol And labeling Robotech/Macross as "kiddie" means you either a) never watched it; b) you forgot it; or c) you are ignorant about it.

In Japanese's minds, Voltron 1, 2, and 3 are completely unrelated. THey're Dairugger, Albegas, and Golion; three unrelated shows.

I never labelled Robotech/Macross as "kiddie." I pretty much know nothing about them other than I think they're called "Mecha" not Super Robots and they have a more military bent to them. Because of this, I've never had any interest in them. They just aren't my thing. As a kid in the 70s in the US with no exposure to Super Robot anime, I had no idea that the Shogun Warriors were piloted robots. We had to use our imagination and make up back stories for them and give them personalities. Because of this, I never perceived them as "gear" for an operator. To me, they were sentient beings. That's kinda why Robotech/Macross didn't interest me. My perception was that they were like tanks or fighter jets in anime styling with no personality. I do think Voltron and Transformers were "kiddie" compared to what I grew up playing with and watching. I mean, Transformers turned into every day vehicles like cars and trucks and Voltron turned into animals. Not slamming anyone's like of all of that. I'm saying for me, I grew up with say Great Mazinger. All I knew was that he looked bad ass and had swords and rockets that shot out of his fingers. Plus, he had this scary looking don't mess with me face. He didn't transform into a lion or whatever. In my perception, he was bad ass as is. And all those shows I listed, Ultraman, Johnny Sokko, Marine Boy, heck! Astro Boy, etc...come off as waaayyyy more intense, scary and violent than a Voltron or Transformers. Of course, if you were a kid when those two came out, I'm sure your perception is very different than mine. That's all good.

no problem
as you know Japan in general doesn't care much about what other countries wants they do what their own people wants thats their number 1 priority
they just stared paying little attention to what other want but its more like side thing not a major thing
as for Grendizer i highly recommend watching it, it was legendary when we were kids and still legendary to this day, im positive you can enjoy it as an adult, the story is very deep and its action packed
in matter of fact Grendizer is crazy popular in my country they made a huge statue for it, its the biggest steal statue for a fictional character in the world 33.7-meter-tall (110.5-foot)
as for the shoguns, they already did Gaiking the GX-100 it was revealed as a DX at first then they changed to an SOC for Dragon and Raideen i think they will need some time to pull those for me not in a hurry to get them but i really really need a DX Grendizer

its really annoying man
i think the new heads in Bandai's are either stupid or they have no guts, (lets play it safe and release another DX Mazinger)
on the other hand new companies are taking the risk releasing figures that either very rare or dont have a modern take for them

very unlikely the next DX is Mazinger z 50th anniversary version
maybe that was the plan but it got axed we will never know
i found it very stupid honestly they should complete Mazinger trio first then the complete the robot romance trilogy

Well guess our hopes of DX Grendizer will be pushed back another year or two… With Grendizer's 50th anniversary in 2025, I wouldn't expect to see it before then. But I do think a DX will be released at that time. If Bandai doesn't do it for the 50th, then I don't think they really want to.

As much as I understand why everyone here wants a DX Grendizer, a Daimos, a Voltes, etc. What I really want is a DX Boss Borot! Now… here me out! We know that if you remove the armor we get to see some impressive robot engineering, but Boss has so much potential to be a unique piece on it’s own! Imagine a cross section of the head revealing all 3 pilots, floor math, coffe table and weird controllers! Keep going down and we get to see a robot made with junk parts from cars and other stuff from scrap yards. Imagine a DX revealing a very unconventional internal design that shows man’s ingenuity to solve complex problems with scarce resources! I bet he would have some steampunk elements or something like that. It would be amazing, specially if they do the OVA Boss with the chest dock for the Mazinkaiser Pilder!
