This mostly happened due to it going out off Print with Kaiser & Shin 1 people were asking for the silliest prices , what's even more goofy is they would ask for extra 100USD for Economy Shipping
same with the DX Mazinger z, not to mention the demand is still strong for it
also you are a fewture guy, im sure you know that Grendizer didnt even get a repaint so the price is crazy as well last time i checked it was around $1600 its heavy price tag for sure but still in the reason but 10k for Riobot Mazinkiaser ! is a slap in the face, there is no way i would compare an EX Gokin to a Riobot
Yeah I've seen his Prices even those some reason still sell it here locally (Cause he was popular & still is to some extent) , they still ask for silly prices , but when I bought the Riobot Mazinkaiser it was that exaggerated Posing compared to the old toys . I still hope someone Tackles the Banpresto Kaiser (no I'm not dropping the subject ) & Manga Shin Getter Robot (I'm kinda bored from Armageddon Shin Getter) . Shame will never get an EX-Gokin Shin 2 & 3 (I loved Ex-Shin 1)

i understand the feeling i also have my own list of super robots that i want to someone to do, Seijushi Bismarck Zanda Cross are on top
for the EX Gokin i remember waaaaay back they announced they are working on Juohmaru v2 (not the modeling color) with Shin Getter 2 & 3
but sadly nothing to this day, man i really miss the EX Gokin line

Did they ever talk about Shin 2 and Shin 3? I don't recall that at all.

okay first thing first, in order to find this photos and an exact date, it took me ton of time and ton of effort to find also this is an old information not something new so i dont want to hear "oh S_Gokin shared some fresh news about Fewture future releases"
as i was saying Fewture did announced they will be making Shin Getter 2 and Shin Getter 3 but since it was a very old announcement with no actual results people forgot about it
as you see it was announced way back around 2014 to put a closer date on it by the time they announced Shin Getter 1 Black and the early sketches for Grendizer
the panel says Grendizer, Brave Raideen, Shin Getter 2 and Shin Getter 3
as you recall Gredizer was followed by repaints, Megazone 23, more repaint then Raideen so i think fewture plan was to release them right after Raideen, but sadly the line was on break since then
if you ask me i found it odd that Grendizer is the only EX Gokin (super robot) that dont have a repaint while Mazinger, Getter 1 2 3 and shin getter 1 have 3 repaints

It's unfortunate that the EX Gokin line is now dead. Grendizer and the Spazer were some of their last releases, and unlike the other figures that had recolor doesn't really have any famous alternative color schemes, so it wasn't a priority while the line was still active.

thing is there were working on ton of stuff, like Jeeg, Dai Apolon which was two sets not to mention the Blocker Gundan 4 set
and come on, they could do an anime color version or chrome version or a black version there is alot of choices to pick from
also the release was a huge success even those who said (please imagine the following sentences in a girly voice) "its not accurate, the feet are huge, the figure ugly"
ended up paying x2 the price for it, and those who got it but skipped the spazer ended up getting it im not sure how much they paid but it was at least x2 the price

I tried. But I just can't get into this design (*imagine spoken in a manly voice*) Though I wouldn't mind seeing the toyline revive at some point, as I do like some of them. Was there ever a Jeeg sketch at any point? Just curious.

Just looking through photos of the old Kotobukiya model kit and comparing to the Riobot's the sculpt improved quite a bit, bring out a lot more of the Obari's signature shapes and poses. Also liking the clear blue parts all over, almost giving a Shin Getter 1 vibe. Kotobukiya Riobot

hmmm im not sure honestly, if i remember correctly Jeeg was displayed without showing any sketches before
thing is and while i was searching for the info above, i found out that Jeeg was on display way back in 2017 along with Dai Apolon, on 2018 Dai Apolon was on display alone with some sketches
i guess Covid hurt them + you know how fewture take their sweet time doing stuff, i just hope they gives us a warning shot before releasing stuff

Sentinel are on a roll, and probably winning my Toy of the Year award with all their strong releases so far. I'm amazed with how many ratchets this figure have, since Sentinel generally avoid them while here almost all joints are ratcheted.

Unfortunately, from reviews I've seen, the main figure is easily a 9, but the jet/backpack is more like a 5... I might go for an 'arranged' look with the powered up head and sword on, but without the backpack, since the wings fall off easy. Will see how they feel in hand to determine.

The problem with the backpack, aside from seemingly not sitting well when heavily articulating it, is that it's just overpriced. It's barely acceptable at the original price, let alone how much it's going for now in the aftermarket, and for somethi that feels like should have come with the base figure. Still, it does seem to hold well enough when you put it and don't touch the figure(best tip I found is simply to pose the robot and then add the wings), and it does add a lot visually.

Opened mine today with the G Thunder Gate and really dig it - looks great, it's big, and it has lots of ratchet joints. My only complaint is that it's really barebones without the G Thunder Gate, and that should have been more easily purchasable. Also, I think the sword looks a bit comically small for it, though I may just be too used to super robots' swords being rather oversized.

...Also, I think the sword looks a bit comically small for it, though I may just be too used to super robots' swords being rather oversized. No, it is not your fault or misconception. For a mech that is designed by Obari with his iconic sword pose, Sentinel missed the mark on this small detail. There should have been an optional bigger blade with exaggerated foreshortening that is swappable, even if they want to save plastic and not making the sword hilt twice.

Also, I think the sword looks a bit comically small for it, though I may just be too used to super robots' swords being rather oversized. The G Thundergate really that like it should have been part of the package. The size of the sword seems fine to me, but like mpchi said they should have given an obari angle blade. They should have followed what they did with the D-4 exclusive version of Fire Dagwon and included an exaggerated angle sword. Considering how the G Thundergate was already an exclusive and cost a pretty penny they really should have included one more blade.
