I don't own the vintage but always coveted it...this will be very nice to own...though, I think singularly, as a unit, this would top the scales as the most expensive toy I own...and no gokin. Both LOL and sigh. Worth it though. There is nothing that comes close in terms of playability in my entire collection. It is one of its kind.

Yeah, admiration from afar...like the Metal Structure releases. And many of the original Godaikins that I do not own (i.e. Tetsujin). I mean, it just is not realistic to put that amount of coin on a vintage toy -- not at this juncture in my life. And even then, I just may prefer a timepiece or save for a new car, haha.

Sorry, I was referring to the Reboot. Though I am sure the vintage one is a gem of its own right. I am just not much of a vintage collector, though bought a couple Diaclone books that showed most of the vintage stuff. So I kind of know them.

Full version of the stop motion promo PV.
For those that are still on the fence due to the high price on getting both DA-95 and DA-100, keep in mind that this is like some of those 'once in a life time' releases (T-28 Godaikin, DX SOCs, HasLab Unicron, Metal Structure...etc.). While the combined Robot Base GX doesn't have any diecast, it packed a ton of play value and gimmick that no robot figures can compare. It will be remembered as a very iconic piece of our time, and most likely will rise in value significantly down the road, based on how sought after many Diaclone releases are now going for twice or three times their value. Don't miss the current chance of getting both DA-95 and DA-100 at below MSRP with the really good yen exchange rate right now. This is a beast of a figure in everyway. Don't miss it!

New Diaclone art with the updated Robot Base GX (no longer a placeholder from years ago).

Just came across this on Twitter. A pretty straight on look of the colored sample with very little camera distortion or posing, seeing the proportion of the real thing as what we should expect when we get ours.

I am excited and very scare about the shipping cost on this (I am going to ship both the DA-95 and DA-100 together) - see Toys TV video (time stamp: 1:11) to get an idea how big this box is

Don't need to be scared. Its a guarantee going to be a shipping cost disaster shipping them both together. I did catch ToysTV's live stream way early this morning, since they are the first to unbox DA-100. I am currently building a base, anticipating DA-100's arrival, which will then give me better ideas on how I should finish the rest of the base layout, with enough clearance and space for things I need to go a certain way. Costly, and time consuming, but a very fun project.

What a sight! Though hype aside, this shows that titan sized figures tend to have something off about their proportions. Metroplex with an extreme case of hour-glass waist. Fort Max with a blocky head too big. And Robot Base GX with thighs too small and short. Still cool as hell. And what a difference for huge figures this size with and without an ankle joint. Budget limitation caused those titans to lose some most basic things, meanwhile, Robot Base got multiple ankles, all ratcheted too!

Nice Picture. It is a shame about those Titans. Hoping Titan Wave turns out better. But the the combined Robot Base is at about 100,000 Yen that is about four times the price of a single Titan. I never meant to collect Diaclone but the quality is just so awesome - you get a really solid figure and playset

I never meant to collect Diaclone but the quality is just so awesome - you get a really solid figure and playset Yeah, I knew about Diaclone for the longest time too, but thinking right off the bat that it wasn't for me. It has no anime support, has no typical anime aesthetics, funky colors, and only seem to cater towards collectors with fond memories of the vintage line. It was only when DA-95 Ground Dion announced early last year that caught my attention. Maybe just to have the Robot Base, since I do love big robots. After a few months of anticipation, getting DA-95 in hand, it completely changed my perspective. These are really toys, toys meant to be played with. Then I started dabbling into a couple other sets, then start scouting loose parts in Japanese auctions and listings, and start creating my own versions of mechs with parts I can find. It was such a fun new experience for me, like a kid discovering Lego for the first time, but with much cooler robot parts, vehicles, little pilots, and full of gimmicks, to a point I spend more time and money to build a base to house them all (biggest project I have done for any toyline), and got hyped for the rest of the year in 2023. You can kind of see part of my journey in this other Diaclone thread when you scroll towards the bottom: robotjapan.proboards.com/thread/23574/return-diaclone?page=6It was a breath of fresh air I need in my collecting journey, when I am so used to collecting gokins and other action figures the past couple decades. Now I am just waiting for DA-100 to arrive to enjoy the final product that started it all for me, as well as getting good measurement and scale to finish the base building I started for it. A very nicely shot review from a HK collector (a pro photographer that loves toys).

With the Kampfer, this is my ToTY. Not even a competition, IMO.

With the Kampfer, this is my ToTY. Not even a competition, IMO. Yeah man. Too bad most folks here are not into Diaclone much. Robot Base GX is absolute TOTY in a very literal way. So much going on within one single toy (may be two, strictly speaking). I just wish the legs are 2-3 inches longer, that would have looked perfect. Oh, by the way, whenever you try to lift and remove the chest canopy (the one you remove to put on the head for the first time), make sure you do it slowly and carefully. There are quite a few reports of those grey pegs from the connectors on each side broke off, showing tiny bubble inside. Pretty much those pegs were not molded correctly and are prone to breakage. Do not stress them when removing the canopy. Try push the grey piece from underneath bit by bit on both sides, don't just pull it up with brute force. You don't want one of those pegs broke off and stuck in the peg hole. Just FYI.

Oh yeah...the canopy removal was definitely not great and it came off without any damage but the way it detached had my heart skipping...you are right. I thought I was the only person with that issue. And also completely agree, would be nice if the legs were just a touch longer...but, this is being picky. The toy is just glorious.

I'd love to own the prototype....there's something about the grey primer. Then I wonder if it will ever come down in price. As it stands, I think it is around $1200 to complete the top and bottom

I'd love to own the prototype....there's something about the grey primer. Then I wonder if it will ever come down in price. As it stands, I think it is around $1200 to complete the top and bottom Was cheaper when you get the top/bottom during release or reissued. DA-95 was only 40000yen (discounted) at one point some months ago. With the exchange rate, that was barely even $300, add another $100 for shipping, you are looking at $400 shipped for the legs. DA-100 can be had for around $500 shipped during release. Regardless, it was well worth the price, even at $1200. There is nothing quite like it.
