Am I the only one who thinks the head on this thing is way too small? It’s even smaller than the shoulder and it’s fist. Otherwise a fantastic figure!

Looks like they did some tweaks on the old prototype from before. I remember seeing this a while back, and thought the proportions are off on the head, neck, shoulders. The red chest plate also used to be very thick. I do agree the improved prototype looks better. Head does seem small, but not unacceptable. My main issue is its size. Like their Mazinkaiser (though I am not a fan of that sculpt), if this is about the same size, it will tower over the CCSToys figures a couple heads at around 30cm. That is too huge to go with most existing figures, let alone smaller stuff like SOC or Riobots. I like what I am seeing for the most part (but not a fan of the knee design, has these very blocky cuts and mechanical stuff that doesn't match the Getters, which almost always has round inner knees), but the huge size made me lean towards passing. The Blitzway Carbotix Black Getter, while big, still matches the CCSToys guys at least in terms of size. Here is their older prototype below (the left image) for comparison. Differences I can spot: - Neck, shoulder proportion. - Red chest seem less thick and small details changed. - Arms now has two-tone reds - Upper arms and thighs have slight detail changes. - Added mid torso articulation (the cut on the sides of mid white belly that allows more torso bend). - Black belt lost the two silver dots, and the yellow diaper while looks almost the same, seem to have different articulation design underneath (old one where the silver dot on the belt looks like a hinge for the hip flap, but the new sculpt might have omitted or changed that function).  |

Seems like the same artist designed the King Arts Getter 1. The details styling and paneling almost identical, but a bit more refined and on a different body.  |

Would have liked it more if they go lighter on the details, and tweak the face a little. Details are cool, but I don't think they need that much, especially when they removed more iconic details like the bicep line, in exchange of their random added stuff.  |

classic King Arts move i remember from Grendizer if you dont buy the VIP Limited version you will not get some extra parts
cheap move if you ask me since the accessories are very small and doesn't worth an extra $50-$70

The details on his face looks recessed or something. Face details via clear plastic then the whole red part is like a mask or something.

My only issue is if there will be a hanger set-up the Ryoma figure is way to large to be in-scale with Getter 1.

Dudes, I got this today, and maybe because it's new toy syndrome, but currently it is my favorite Getter-1 toy to date. And I own a LOT of Getter toys. Almost 1 of every mold (except the Bandai MB- waiting for a clearance price drop on that). If you are a fan of Armageddon fat boy Getter, you NEED this. Weighs 1032g before you even put on any accessories. My only nitpick would be the cape is made out of 2-ply nylon, and to me it feels a bit cheap.

Loved mine too but his right thigh armor plate does not stay put when attached. Only the magnetic part sticks well but the other end does not. Same with the damaged part. His left armor piece fits nicely though. The cape is also not that great. I heard the black getter cape got improved or something. Painted face would have better. Not a fan or led effects parts Other than that, this figure is awesome! |
