Could have been this Getter they've worked on long ago resurfacing. But could also be a completely new design. Interesting.  |

That old Getter 1 prototype used to be in the same line as their GaoGaiGar, as the POSE+ "STYLE" subline, stylizing the design a bit more instead of following the show or lineart. However, I think they stopped using the "STYLE" label after a while, from what I remember, and GGG just became part of their regular lineup. For the upcoming AGCHK Toy Show, they just teased with an upcoming "Shin Getter Armageddon" reveal. So it can either be a more refined version of that old Getter 1 prototype, or it could be something completely new altogether (meaning that old Getter 1 project got scrapped). We'll find out in 3 days or so. |

Turn out this is indeed a brand new sculpt. Another pot belly Getter 1 from Armageddon. However, I am a little disappointed after seeing the prototype. No doubt it is going to pose well. But it doesn't look as good as Carbotix/5PRO's...  |

The subtitle Japanese in that promo image says "Getter Team will follow/show up", so there is a hint they will either make Getter 2 and 3, or venture to develop Dragon and Shin Getter, to form that 'team'. We are flooding with Getters all of a sudden.  |

Watched the key part of the video on this guy, here are some info in case you don't understand Cantonese: - Metal Heat Series is a subline from their regular lineup, and will be sized a bit different. (From observation, look smaller, but not by a lot) - Armageddon is their first Metal Heat Series license, and Ah Lu (main POSE+ designer, on the left) is very excited bringing this franchise to the brand, as it is one of his childhood favorite. He is pushing wholeheartedly to bring more Armageddon Getters in this line, even joke about having enough robot figure releases to match their acrylic character plaques, hinting Getter 1 is not the only one, as their character plagues include the rest of the Getter Team, as well as Go, even Dr. Saotome (Getter Dragon Beast?!). While can't take their joke word for word, they didn't hide from hinting more robot release will come for a fuller lineup, that's for sure. - They want to emphasize on the articulation of the pot belly design on Getter 1, while try to keep it accurate and very close to its appearance in the show. So don't expect a lot of stylization from this line, but more true to the original designs. This can be very good news for collectors that want a more complete and cohesive Armageddon Getter line, especially when Getter 2, getter 3, Shin Getter, Black Getter, and possible Getter Dragon or even Shin Dragon can be all on the horizon. But I can't help but comparing this to the Carbotix 5PRO Getter 1 and the upcoming Black Getter. POSE+ sure wins on the articulation, but I am not so sure it measures up in terms of aesthetics...   |

It's such a shame that after so many years we still do not have diecast figures from one manufacturer that has actually created all three Armageddon Getter teams, we get so close and then nothing. I thought the SRC line could do it being at a smaller scale and less financial resources committed to less popular designs but that went belly-up.
