Can they keep this proportion without part swap ? He doesn't look too bad even in perfect transformation. But the shoulders are always an issue I had when thinking of a design of this guy. |

is it me or SOC is starting to look like some cheap hasbro transformers toy? To be fair,these guys are actually screen accurate. The metallic blue colors of renewal SoCs were to imitate the toy look whilst not using sticker details. There is a reason why stuff like Eldran and Braves were not used till 2015. Most of those robots as much as I love them look very toyetic even on screen. |

Hell, GaoGaiGar's big weapon is a squeaky hammer they are all toy motif'ed. These new pictures are great, and I'm excited the see the final product. |

Besides, saying they look like cheap Hasbro Transformers makes me think you didn't see a regular retail Transformer in a long time, because even the worst SOC is(understandably considering the lrice difference) leagues above them.

I guess I have been somewhat disenchanted by SOC offerings lately since the competition has been churning out pretty impressive pieces. |

Agree that it's been a while since the SOCs line engineering fall behind other companies like pose, sentinel, ccs, ect
But they were always solid simple figures. My guess is bandai is trying to be on par with them. The gundam tryon and choryujin are proof of that. Both figures looks like an improvement over recent releases. Also, SOC were always about screen accuracy, and I must say Choryujin and both mechas look great in all its modes.

I gotta say this turned out pretty nice looking IMO. It's a pretty hard transformation to actually make good, there is a decent amount of anime magic. It looks pretty good without the plus up parts to make it look cleaner looking (they show it when they show how the Eraser Head worked).
The Truck mode is the weakest, but that is expected IMO, the individual bots look great and so does the combined mode.

Yeah. I just don't like how the truck modes don't sit flush to the ground.
I am regretting the price I paid for him as $400 USD plus shipping is not it.
I am here cause of my Sunk Cost Fallacy with Brave Series stuff.
I try to find a line that does them and get one of.

I am skipping this SOC. The review gave me a very good idea of what it is. Didn't feel that Bandai did anything amazing to solve the proportion issues, and just heavily rely on add-ons, while the truck mode is pretty bad. I like ChoRyuJin, but I would bet POSE+ doing a better job at it. And if that falls short, then just no ChoRyuJin for me. Not a high priority.

I am already all in but this was sloppy of Bandai compared to their initial prototype. The shoulder articulation always gave me issues with figuring out. |

I don't know how Bandai got that wrong. I already know that unless either company pulls off some black magic,the shoulder articulation of ChoRyuJin won't amount to much. |
