yeah I guess... I'm upset that it never showed op on www.hlj.com/new-preorders/ so I never even saw it until it was gone despite trying to. HLJ's search system is terrible. But I remember it actually popped up for a second on the main page before disappearing.

Managed to get mine at NinNin. At HLJ you have to search manually, if you wait for it to appear by the time it shows up it will be sold out. NinNin gave you the chance to notify stock, so if someone missed it, add your email there (I've been lucky a few times thanks to that). Can't wait for this guy (even chose EMS so I could have it faster)

i have nothing against Godzilla
im just proven my point with the myth that says "DX SOC Mecha Godzilla is super popular and it have a strong fan base all over the world"
it simply does not belong in the DX SOC line, and the fans are either broke or very few, especially when we are talking about a very high end line like the DX SOC
and Grendizer will happen sooner or later

and Grendizer will happen sooner or later I gave you its a weird release since there is no articulated goji in that scale (the old kyokyukyoku was the only one, it was released years ago and they cancelled that line). I collect godzilla figures but in the shma scale, so there is no room for the SOC or the dx SOC. (I have the shma x soc ohrai mecha godzilla póster version though, that boy was the right scale).

its an odd choice to be in the DX SOC line overall, its the same mistake they made in the SOC line when they released Eva's and Yamato i mean the line is for super robots
but its what its now

fair and valid point my friend
as you know we dont have access to any numbers but from the info in hand, the DX SOC products are limited run products im not sure if they are equal or depends on the character
the thing is the figure didnt sellout even at stores that doesn't require an upfront payment
so im not sure whats going on the only thing i see here is this is the slowest DX SOC product in term of sales

Stop calling it the "DX soc line". There is no such thing. DX mechagodzilla is the follow-up to GX-103 Kiryu and has as little to do with DX Mazinger Z as it has to do with the DX chogokin Macross line. Bandai's deisgnations just don't make any sense. Just like they made GX-65 daitarn 3 after GX-53 while it should obviously have been named GX-53R.

It is "DX Soul of Chogokin" line. Has nothing to do with the DX Chogokin line of Macross. And this IS the same line as DX SOC Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger, Combattler V, Voltes V....etc.

Well it is a DX SOC, last time I checked it was under that line at bandai site, and as far as I know, them being the manufacturers, can decide which line it belongs (and its out of scale with kiryu, so no, its not it follow up, mecha godzilla 1974 is half of kiryu size, 100mts againts 50mts). S_ I don't thing it is a mistake releasing it in any line, the mistake is not releasing any goji to go with it. Would you get a ankoku dai shogun without a mazinger or great mazinger? or a gingin without a grendizer to go with? Even when mecha godzilla is more important than those by its own it still a godzilla rival, so at least me (and I think most people would agree) would not be interested in a godzilla rival when I don't own a godzilla to put it with. As I said a new release in the kou kyou kyoku line would have been the logical move (its goji 70th anniversary after all). I was expecting a re release of the shma mecha godzilla for its 50th anniversary (i missed it the first time) but no, they decided to go big.... yeah even when I like the DX SOC, I' m not happy hahaha

it simply does not belong in the DX SOC line, and the fans are either broke or very few, especially when we are talking about a very high end line like the DX SOC
and Grendizer will happen sooner or later But Mecha Godzilla is popular and iconic, especially in Japan where Bandai mainly caters to. This year marks the 50th anniversary of that movie, and since they already have a monster monsterarts version (which despite not being too old still goes for over x3 the original MSRP), and a regular sized (though at this point old) chogokin figure, the DX size makes sense, especially with it being 4 years since the last truly new release with DX Voltes, who let's not forget until one month before release was still available at most online sites. Even the improved reissue of DX Mazinger that was released last year didn't sell out and had to go on sale, despite the original release being so sought after. That's probably why Bandai made a cheaper DX with Mecha Godzilla, Japan(as well as the rest of the world) is in a poor financial situation right now and people have become much more frugal in their spending. Whether or not this move works out for them in the end, who knows. And yes Grendizer will happen, but Bandai are probably waiting for a time where it seems people are more willing to burn money again. And speaking of anniversaries, next year marks Grendizer's 50th anniversary as well.

Guys if we are going to keep at it let's take it to the dx soc mecha godzilla post... this is gundam tryon post and I feel we are making a really big off topic.

yes I know it has the DX SoC logo. But it is the same height as GX-103 and it has the same base. It is obviously a companion piece to that and not the four larger DX SoC at the higher price point. I'll stop now, sorry for continuing the off topic.
