Ooooh, lots of chrome and bright colors...I like 'em. It's says "Diecast Metal Poseable Robot"....is there much diecast in them or was that all just a devious sales ploy?

I got the Souchaku Henshin version of the Uchuu Keiji Gavan,Sharivan and Shaider. That one has a bunch of diecast. How tall are these Star Searchers. BTW, I like the marvel statues in the background.

They're around 7" tall. Mostly plastic I think, but there is some die-cast. So far I've only seen Shaider in the Star Searchers box. It would be nice if there were more though. They also make a harsh beeping noise to accompany their flashing light. It's pretty crazy, bugs the hell out of anyone in the room...especially if they're both going.

Their look reminds me of Saban's "VR Troopers" (Eeew, I hate that show!). But I realize they're str8 up Japanese, and made by Bandai--- Awesome!
These you have right here look really nice; I say you scored a great deal with these two figures, considering their age, and the batteries still working after so long being in inside them. Having them light up is a special treat. I wish any of my Mazzies would light up.
Nice Hauls, there Bro!

Funny you say that Magengar, that's because the red and the blue (Shaider and Sharivan) are both used in VR Troopers with the main guy as Metalder.

I've never seen the VR troopers myself, but I like the old Space Sheriff stuff. Actually I pretty much avoid anything that's been Sabanized. For some reason I find it creepy. The Souchaku versions look pretty sweet too, Id like to pick some of those up. Also the Marvel Masterworks in the box is pretty much a statue, the rest are figures though. ;D

Souchaku has all three of them, and they are really not that bad ~30 each.

I know... ... but there's just something schmocky about the whole Saban schtick I never quite dug-- --american actors playin Japanese hero characters, as in the Power Rangers, and Cyber Samurai Warriors (aka "Grid Man") yeah, whoopiedoo- "Tommy's an acrobat"- so is my pet rock. I dunno... I've seen vid clips of Solbrain and Gekiranger that I thought was really cool. ;D zozo-Magengar Funny you say that Magengar, that's because the red and the blue (Shaider and Sharivan) are both used in VR Troopers with the main guy as Metalder.

VR Troopers? forget the name, but they were really cheap and nice quality for the price if you like your sci-fi or sentai fast & cheap.

oh, wow, i got a BUNCH of those off ebay, all the same color (i wish that the seller only sold 1 of each, not 4, since i don't need that many, and i don't know anyone that would want the others). But mine only came in their foam, no box. and they light-up too. And they are heavy metal.

Nice items. I recently picked up this: I've been wanting this for a long time. I didn't realize just how huge it is. I'm not sure how I will fit it into my collection. Actually, let me rephrase that - I am quite sure I don't have the room to display it.

Sorry - I was away for the weekend. Its about 14 inches wide, and features battery-operated flashing lights around the ship. The figure fits in the cockpit: The discs are loaded into the vertical shaft under the smaller red circle, and they fire out. It also shoots other missiles that are missing from mine - you can see the shooter in the picture. It has four wheels on the bottom, so it can roll around. A pretty nice toy, all around, and pretty sizeable. I am quite happy with my purchase. I believe that the smaller vehicles also load into the ship and can be launched through the central shafts in the front and rear of the ship, although the springs on mine do not seem to be working.
