I love the design of these two Mazinger villains....that is why I already pre-order them. I am not even a huge Mazinger fan but the looks of these two villains are just classics.

You know, this just gets scary. If I fall for that two-headed Lizardoid then I'll have to have Garada too. If I have both Doublas and Garada, I'll have to get another Mazinger- I have two oldies, but the only SOC I have is GX-07 OVA. If I get another Maz, I'll have to get the Mazinger Girls, and if I get the Girls I'm gonna have to have Boss Borot, and then I'll need to get the Angels, and by that time I'll realize that my Mazinger team needs God only knows how many other variations of Mazinger to complete the set...... Ohh and if I remember correctly, when I was young I had the shogun warrior Gaiking and I also had Raideen, Daimos, and Godzilla. Seeing as how they were made to work together as the 'theme' Shogun warriors I'd say that you need the SOC Gaiking regular and black version as well. I would also try to find a scale Godzilla and Rodan as they were part of the Shogun warriors. You will also have to stash some money for the SOC version of Daimos and Raideen (when they come out)in order to complete the collection, ohh and don't forget the night time (black) versions. Do you think that you'd need a Mechagodzilla as well, seeing as how he goes with Godzilla? ;D |

Ohhh stupid me, I almost forgot to mention that the Getter Bros and Combattler V were teamed up with Mazinger in the shogun warrior line. You'll need all the Getter Robo's, and the Combattler V as well...ohh and lets not forget the black versions..  |

This is just another kind way of saying "just get them all!". Lol, I would too but I normally stick with the original color chogokins (with the exception of my Mazinkaiser - I ended up with the limited version coz I couldn't find the original colored one). The only ones I probably would never get are the Eva's, not to my liking unfortunately. But for the rest of the SOC's, let's find the money and buy them all! ;D

I like most of the SOC's but one I am not impressed with is GX-05 Daiku maryu/ Gaiking. I was really unhappy that bandai decided to go this route with this toy.Gaiking is a midget compared to the other SOC's.I don't know if I can bring myself to spend any money on it.  |

I agree. I think what Bandai should have done is make the Gaiking figure bigger and Daiku Maryu much much bigger! I know this would mean a more expensive SOC but if its more accurate, hey why not?

I have a buddy who could care less about super robots Mazinger, Dancouga, Grendizer blah blah, but I took an Eva over to his house (the yellow Eva) and he was like "Dude that is the coolest toy I have ever seen" he wants me to get him one for his b-day ;D I think the Evas are the most under-rated SOC's made. I wish Bandai would make more SOCS like the Evas, more metal & less plastic. I like my Zambot, but he has that 'plastic' feel to me, nothing like picking up an Eva with all their heft and weight. God I love em ;D |

Admin1 nominated the GX14 for toy of the year last year. The Eva's are funny. I can understand why people don't like them. They aren't very super-robot looking. If you haven't seen the series they probably don't look like much of anything you could identify- just some weird looking humanoid. And Neon Genesis is one of those love it-or hate it kind of series.
