Sentai, or Super Sentai, plainly put, is the series of shows that Power Rangers has been based on. I believe sentai means "team" (?) . Battle Fever here is not from the first Sentai Series, which is GoRanger, but rather is the first robot featured in a Sentai series. Prior to Battle Fever J, Sentai shows were essentially live action Gatchaman type shows, if I'm not mistaken. Then came Battle Fever Robo, then combining robots and then the combining-combining robots, and so forth. Now it is the standard to have a combining robot featured in the Sentai Shows, and so it all started with Battle Fever. ---------------------------------------- Thanks to UltimateGao JP, here is "Sentai 101" sentaimanila.proboards33.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1110766465

Ah! So the original Battle Fever Robot would have been a suit that some guy wore, like Ultraman?

This SOC captures that whole 'guy in a rubber suit' look so much that it's just creepy, funky, and awesome at the same time! by the by... JWM, I ordered a Mechagodzilla as well, but I don't have the faintest idea about the dimensions of the figure. Can you post pics of yours right next to any SOC? thanks!

Just like REX said, BFJ was the first Super Sentai robot and deserves to be made into a SOC.

I got the GD-57B, and it's about 6.5". I'd imagine the GD-45 would be as well; it's in scale with the most popular line of Bandai's vinyl Godzilla toys.

I'm going to display my ignorance rather than expend the effort to look it up. What exactly is a sentai bot? How is it different from a super robot or a Gundam? JWM hi jwm, here's more description of sentai: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sentai(i love this site, very useful on research)
