You know, Konami will probably just re-issue this thing now that the DVDs are coming out, they would be fools not to. So lets just wait our time...

Well, I got an e-mail just now from HLJ telling me that the Konami Gurren Lagann was discontinued and was being removed from my order list. I guess I'm not going to be getting it from HLJ any time soon. I am glad I got one on another store when it wasn't as overprized as it is now...

Actually, now that I've seen the anime, I have "cured" myself from wanting one of these. The Revoltech will be just fine for me...

I'm pretty confident that a reissue will occur soon. They want to make money, no?

you could say that about the Max Mazinkaiser. It is taking forever for a reissue. The GIM Gurrel Lagann is likely a Max Factory gokin and will likely take forever to reissue.

You need to move that bad-boy to the center-spot, though... He deserves to be center-stage! ;D With high-end toys like this, I imagine that the production cost is kind of high. The producers might be afraid that if they press out another run, they won't be able to sell enough to make an acceptable profit. I'm not saying that you should go ahead and pay the $300 or so that ebay is asking, but I think it is very possible that the price is only going to go up. And the figure is just so damn sweet! ;D

This thing is like the Ferrari of Gurren Lagann figures. Like Ferris Beuller said- "It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up. so...would you pay $305 for a GIM Gurren Lagann shipping costs included? No. Cause I cancelled my HLJ preorder even at early bird price. ;D Its quite a pricey gokin without a lot of stuff or gimmick. And the sculpt seem a bit static looking. Seem like the Revoltech captured the 'energy' of the bot better. But for someone looking for a nice gokin GL, its still a very nice looking piece. Just feel that I can get a lot more toy with that price than whats there.

I like the Revoltech too, but the GIM Gurren Lagann is truly a work of art ALA Max Factory Godannar or Mazinkaiser...
