Does it say anywhere what accessories it comes with? It's gotta come with a sword and I thought I saw some pics of a ship.

It seems like there is only about three of us that really like this Jeeg and I'm kind of surprised. I like the original Jeeg of course, but to me this new version is not a whole lot different. I mean, it seems that the same basic design elements are there. The colors will be the same of course. This is a more sharp version than the original, but if Bandai did the original design, it would be, well, pretty much just like the original design, wouldn't it? Still, I just don't see that much difference. If you look at the two side by side there's about as much difference as Mazinger and Mazinkaiser, maybe even less.

xiombarg- I agree with you about the degree of difference between the designs. But ya know, I don't like Mazinkaiser anywhere near as much as Mazinger Z either. Same thing with the new getter vs. the old the getter. So even that amount of difference can be pretty big to some people.

The sculpture of both are significantly different (the original Jeeg was fat while the remake Jeeg is thin and muscular) and that's where the problem lies. The remake Jeeg should have been closer to the original design. Consider the original Gaiking and the anime remake Gaiking, a fine example of the same robot remade with minor differences, mainly color scheme differences. Mazinkaiser is not the remake of Mazinger...not the same anime character. They are significantly different. I really do not like Mazinkaiser. However, Mazinger Z is my favorite robot.

I really dig the new Jeeg!!!
My GO NAGAI shelf is exploding with all the Getters, Mazinger Family, Grendizer and Gaiking Chogokins, and adding both Groizer X and Jeeg very soon will leave me a very happy collector!!

I like the new Jeeg and I just don't think it looks all that different generally. You are correct that they are not the same, and our buddy 1970s Jeeg has been re-interpreted for the 2000s. Believe me, I understand the whole "we need to be as close to the original as possible" issue. People talk about this continually around here. I'm very familiar with it. But I just don't feel this way. To each their own, of course.

I still think they should have put the New Jeeg in the GD line like the New Gaiking, worked out the bugs and then put a better engineered classic Jeeg in the SOC line.

C'mon! This is our chance to get a decent jeeg after sooo many years. Granted Bandai did not make the original one , but at least there will be a chance that the original will be released sooner than we expect . I'll take any form of Jeeg now, since there has not been any modern gokin representation recently (besides, we don't have too many green colored robot with yellow stripes in the gokin line) ;D!

Original Jeeg is coming, trust me. New Gaiking was release after original Gaiking and it didn't do so well. So Bandai will do new Jeeg before original Jeeg. You see where I'm headed.
Oh yeah new Jeeg looks sick.

i think you have a point there sizzlak! i have some doubts about the head transforming in a bike... dancouga was big but jeeg must be gx-01r sized. it will probably be too flimsy!

The new Jeeg looks a little too fiddly and a bit like Romeo wearing a water melon cosplay...
The original Jeeg still rules!!
