Well, after seeing Thunderbreaks awesome Batmobile collection it raises the crucial question `Which is your favorite Batcar/Batmobile? So, here's a list of the first 20 cars (there are actually more than 65+ originals plus another dozen or so if we were to include alternate timeline stories). What do you think? Man...it's like going to an ice cream store and having to pick just one flavor 1941 1941 2 door sedan 1943 Cadillac series 61 convertible 1944 Studebaker 1950 Studebaker/Cadillac 1955 1962 1966 - 1955 Lincoln Futura 1968 blue black 1969 Lamborghini Miura 1969 1971 60's sedan 1972 72 Stingray 1973 72 Mustang 1973 Superfriends 1975 Chapparal style 1977 1984 My vote goes to the long 69 toon batmobile- It's extreme...looks like you could fit twin V-12's under the hood and its got very retro Coke bottle styling on the sides. But, ummm maybe on second thoughts...the single bubble 55 is very... Ohhh, decisions decisions...

There have been some beautiful Batmobiles in the period from 1984 to 2004. I don't know if this latest version is beautiful though Looks like a university freshman architects vision to me...

I tend to lean toward the 66 having seen it in person when I was a kid. And having the diecast back then was a helper as well! Remember the firing missles from the pipes and the actual spinning blade on the front! Man, I wish I still had that one!!

I dig the older 1940s & 1950s, but I really dig the design of the 2nd animated series batmobile. It has a great Mach 5 feel.

Kuan, Those are some cool pix- man, some stuff there I've never seen before. Yeah the super friends car looks pretty good there.
Personally, I like the 1969 and the recent 2004 car from a comic series but, there's so many to chose from...man I like the 1940 roadster now too.
Your transforming pix are excellent too.

My favorite would be that 1950 Studebaker/Cadillac. It has the look of one of those post-war concept cars that we were all promised in the future. The George Barris custom gets a close second. It was one of the things that made the show so cool. (Too bad Ed Roth never made a Batmobile.) I'll pass one Tim Burton black mecha-phallic Batdorkmobile. (tryin' to get around the censor) That new thing is just ugly. It looks like it's trying to be The Road Warrior for off road fans. JWM
