Personally, I'd love to collect beautifully sculpted plastic statues as long as they were considerably cheaper than their resin, polyresin, polystone and porcelain counterparts. Hear hear! And with popular toy companies like Yamato and Wonder Festival (subsidiary of Kaiyodo- the guys who released that sexy Cammy figure img.photobucket.com/albums/v519/MacrossPH/CammyFig07.jpg) already tapping into the best sculptors to transform their best resin kit works into plastic (ABS-PVC) works of art- for about half the price of the kit, it's no wonder that some collectors 'may' question the value of the Corgi diecast figures. I'll agree with chet about the value of the SOC vs. the Corgi diecast statues. You get more bang for your buck with toys like SOC's. ;D

Storm looks good, same as the line art. I wanna see Dark Phoenix. If the production versions look that good, I'll probably consider. ;D BTW, Manny I think you meant The Thing and not Hulk.

oops edited already...tnx omni btw, i was at a hobby store in greenhills today. i saw a huge hulk VS spidey diorama stat. it looks stunning! probably costing a few hundreds of dollars. i when around the back side of the glass display to see the back end of the stat. wham! hulk has a gaping crack at the back of his right knee man, resin stats are pricey. but if damaged, that hundreds of dollars can go up in smoke just like that. i dunno if the store can still sell this piece
