Just saw this silhouetted artwork of upcoming Votoms stuff from B2Five posted at TH: www.taghobby.com/archives/413028Standing Turtle, Standing Tortoise, and another Scopedog variant (Melkia, Spacedog, Odon)? Thought it was a Strikedog at first with the obscured left-hand, but the antenna is regular Scopedog. Looking forward to it! Actually, the silhouette would be a Marshy Dog. Look at the feet, with the horizontal wheel pedal thingy. Also match the turtles since they are from the same Kummen arc. |

apparently, there is another Blu-ray (region-A) release of Armored Trooper VOTOMS from Section-23 scheduled for release today 8/11/2020: www.amazon.com/dp/B089TXGNL2/with the BrutishDog as the new cover:  9 discs "complete" collection. Get this version if you missed out on the previous US bd-releases... |

That's how it is. Bought a couple classic import Blu-ray shows before, easily goes $200-300 each. It really is for people that have a lot of love for the show. With Votoms having such big collection, that price was not a big surprise. The quality is probably a lot better than the cheap US release though. The video quality on the US release on the older shows is really bad and grainy. |

Bandai puts VOTOMS in the HM-R line!!! Have mixed feelings about this. While I am glad it does, I am afraid the line will die off before they even get to the good ones, since HMR is not cheap. Looking at the Dougram line, they went silent just after 2 main releases (and a blue variant). Not sure if we'll get to see the cool dogs. And it is too expensive of a line to build a big collection. It kind of put itself in a tough spot, and Marshydog being the first Scopedog is not necessary a hot seller either. Have to wait and see. |
