Indeed, I was really blown away with the MPC Convoy last year, great Price + lots of diecast and great paint detailing.. this one is a few notches below that standard... considering the price point is almost the same.

well after a few delays with the UPS it finally arrived. here is my main christmas present it comes in a nice package with a flap on front so you can see the stuff inside. the main Exkaiser is nice, he has decent articulation and is very sturdy, he is a little smaller then you would expect (about 8 inches tall, though he feels bigger) he is quite heavy his legs are the only thing diecast metal but even though he is mainly plastic there is still a heftyness to him, the overall paint job is good he is not really a white color more of a off white, there are some small paint problems around the feet and legs thankfully not to much, it looks like the silver parts on the back of the legs have small chips on it so you can see the white underneath (this is only found on one of my legs) and there is a little bit of over paint on one foot. thankfully it is places where you cannot see it at all, but it seems that alot of people are having this problem. the smaller Exkaiser figure is really cool the paint is good on him he is quite poseable, and if you were to paint him red and give him a wing on the back he would look like the transformers Hotrod in car mode. all in all i am very happy with it, he does not feel like Masterpiece material i think the Optimus Prime was nicer. but this is a great design and there is so little real merchandise for the character on the market, you will not be disapointed with it. I give it 4 out of 5 stars if only they fixed the little paint issues and added just alittle more diecast it would have gotten a 5 Chris

Thanks for the pics and the review. I still can't get over the fact that he is so small. I highly doubt that Great Exkaizer will even reach 10 inches. How much taller can those Dragon Kizer legs make him in combined mode?
I can't believe people say it is fairly heavy while only the legs being diecast. I hope to purchase and get the heavy feeling myself soon enough. ;D
I still can't wait to see more prototype pics of the dragon kizer and great exkaizer.
And from the poll shows, that people want to see a MP GGG most released next. I'm still hoping for more from the Exkaizer line or perhaps move on to the Fighbird series. But the majority of the fans opinion comes first i guess.

i am having a bit of trouble inserting the exkizer inside king exkizer. especially the legs! and i am afraid of chipping the paint on the diecast legs of the small robot. it already came with a few chips. but on non very visible places at least. do you have to press hard ir is it more a case of being gentle?

hi i would be as gentle as poossible with it, so not to cause any paint chipping. i decided to leave the smaller robot on display along side the bigger one this way i have more of my collection out for everyone to see. by the way how would you rate the quality of yours? i know you said you had paintchips on yours, where were they located? i had some on mine on the back of the leg where it is silver. also does yours have paint issues with the feet? and last how would you rate the plastic on yours? mine had little scuffs on it in a few places. maybe i am being picky and all but it is a $100.00 toy and you would think that they would have done just a little better with it. i am still very happy with it though. chris

I've given up on getting Exkaiser inside King Roader. It's just not worth it. Every time I try, one or both of the arms pop out. It's incredibly frustrating.
As for the legs, make sure you've got King Exkaiser with his torso leaning back like the instructions show. I've been doing that and have had no problems.
Regarding the size of this toy, when you see it in person, it feels appropriate. When I was first hearing about how small this toy was, I thought I'd be really disappointed by that. But after getting it and playing with it, I'm very satisfied.
It's obvious when you hold it that they sacrificed size for heft. It's a very heavy little toy, which is an okay idea in principle. In retrospect, though, I think I would have prefered no metal, because of the paint chipping problem.
Can't wait for Dragon Kaiser. Not going to make the same mistake this time ordereing through BBTS and having to wait a month. I'm ordering directly from an Asian dealer.

i got mine yesterday. the gokin seems off white inside the plastic, but when taken out of the box, the white paint is ok (like the white of TF mpc ultra magnus). i am very satisfied with king exkiser. the quality of plastic is nice and the paint job is great (just slight improvement is needed on red paint in the feet). articulation is ok (except the legs can't be rotated for better "A" pose). there is ratchet action in the knees and thighs for stability. i can't wait for dragon kiser. when combined, great exkiser looks so good! finally, the little exkiser needs a little improvement in the paintjob, minor detail painting would do. i will display this beside king exkiser together with the little boy and dog
