Phonetically I always thought it was "J-O-gI-gar" But today in the comic store I heard a guy saying it "J-O-J-gar"
Which way is correct, or are they both wrong?

Gao is the "G" sound in "Game" and rhymes with the word "Cow" Gai is the same as the word "Guy" Gar is the "G" sound in "Game" and rhymes with the word "Car" There are no "J" sounds Hope that helps!

Actualy, having seen the entire series, I am quite confident it's pronounced as follows (hemhem):
GAO...GAI..GAAAAAAAR!!!!!
Note the multitude of exclamation marks, the all-caps, large-font, passionate yelling, and the stretched-out crescendo at the end - those are very important!
Making dramatic, heroic poses whilst saying is even more correct.
That's how I always pronounce it when discussing it with someone. Though it seems to startle some a wee bit; causing them to back away from me sloooowly, for some odd reason..
