How does Huckbein fit in the Gundam universe? I've seen Huckbein models for awhile now and heard that Unifive is making a partial diecast Huckbein featuring a core-type fighter and a gaggle of weapons. Anyone have this Unifive figure?

hey there Huckbein is from a video game as is the Wildwurger and the big red guy Alteisen. www.hlj.com/scripts/hljlist.cgi?Series=Super+Robot+War&Category=SciOth&Dis=2The name is Supwer Robot War its a fighting styleGame and robot's are rip offs of all the major robot show's the new one is more original but they kept Huckbien in as a tie-in character. he is the most blatant of the rip offs in the series hope that helps clifton

Rip-offs? I was under the impression that SRW really was an authorized mash-up of all the major bots. I've never actually played any of them, but the artwork I've seen always showed some REALLY well known character bots - I don't mean they just looked like them (like Huckbein looks like a Gundam) - I mean the SRW artwork showed EVA-01 or RX-78, etc...
This raises an interesting thought - who out there has actually played any of the SRW series?

I LOVE SRW!!!!!!! I've played most of the ones on SNES. Played all the ones on PSX, and in the middle of SRW Impact. I have Alpha2, MX, Scramble Commander... so yah, all in all, I love SRW. And it's also the game that brought me into collect robots.

Sorry I may have came off as a bit harsh. I ment no disrespect to SRW. I love the models (strike Huckbien) and want the 1/100 wildwarder(sp) let's hope for more models. clifton

Thanks for the replies. The Huckbein Mk II that I saw features Titans type colors, a core fighter that looks like a variant of the RX-78 core fighter, and so many other Gundam characteristics. I wonder if the creator of Super Robot Wars got permission from Bandai to use so many of these characteristics. Or is SRW produced by Bandai? Anyway, the Unifive figure LOOKS good. I just wonder if it's worth buying.

But I`m still trying to figure out if SRW series is official licensed product or not...

The SRW series (which started back in 1991) are published by Banpresto, which became a subsidiary of Bandai in 1989.
It is very unlikely that you will find any well-known products in Japan that are not officially licensed.

I'm pretty sure the guy that designed Huckbein, if I remember correctly, is also the gundam guy, Ohkawara. I could be wrong though, but I thought that was the case...
