Well, it's the 1/72 model kit instead of the DX, but it's still a beautiful piece of work.
The Messiah's full armor really is excessive. Awesomely excessive!

Man, can't wait to get two of these DX Armored valk Ozma! Nice details for the 1/72 kit. Model kits have fine details than the DX. vic01

Which is the higher quality, more playable, less fragile toy: The 1/60 Yamato VF-11b or the 1/60 Bandai VF-25? I'm debating whether to get one or the other.

Both of those valks are two very different beasts. The bandai DX is very playable, looks good, but might come with an occasional loose shoulder joint or non locking crotch. Yamato's VF-11B so far from reviews sounds like an excellent toy you can handle and looks great. Bandai's has some diecast, while the Yamato VF-11 only uses die cast in the landing hear and some joints. Yamato's VF-11B costs more as well, but so far there haven't been any heart breaking qc issues or breakages.

Definitely the VF-11B. In addition to what moleman stated above, the tampo printings on the VF-25 rub off even after light handling. You would expect something phenomenal from a company such as Bandai with a proven track record such as the Gundam model kits and the SoC line, but so far what they've done with the Macross Frontier license has been disappointing so far... at least for me.

Thank you moleman and Nostalgia. I'll keep an eye out for a good sale on the Yamato VF-11b. Have you seen any?

I usually get my Macross stuff from over-drive-inc.com. They're a webstore based in Japan, and only ship by EMS. The VF-11B should come to around $220 shipped. Personally I'm waiting for these to go on sale... there's a reissue around the corner (June) and I'm not in a hurry to get them.

sometimes its much wiser to get the re-issue rather than the 1st rel....they already have fix the issues by then......

I'm in no rush so a re-issue should be fine if the price is right.

i was tempted to get it(VF-11B) when I saw it in person except for the high price the store was charging. Very sleek

I have the RVF-25, and I really like the figure. I think it looks best in jet and bataloid mode. It is slightly shorter than my VF0A, but is heavier. I wish it was a bit tighter in some areas, and I have a few small paint chips on the bottom of the nose, but other than that it looks awesome. I had not done much with trying to get major poses though.

So from what I can tell, the frames are all the same, but they change out the heads and colors and sell armor packs for this line.
