vic01: thanks for clarifying the facts bro! I'm soooo impatient for mine to arrive! You know, it's been 5 days since release, and everytime I check my order status at HLJ, it always said "Item being processed for shipping. Should leave our warehouse in a few days." Is this item selling like hotcakes or what?! I am facing the same situation. We seem to be on the same boat, don't we?

Whew, I thought it was an isolated problem. Thanks GLaw. Your clarification will give me more strength to wait for a couple more days.

Oh my, I thought I was the only one who has this problem on HLJ. Honestly, I emailed HLJ 3 days ago about my orders since i let them shipped my other items in stock (on EMS) but a week has passed and no tracking numbers yet.. I saw one GFF metal composite on Wondercon convention last friday and bought it in a good price. I canceled my pre-ordered GFF metal composite since it was back-ordered before I tried to let them shipped my items. Here's what Scott wrote me: Hi Thanks for writing. We're very sorry for the delay in processing your order--but it's actually a good thing, in a way. Thanks to customers like you, we are growing so fast that the building we are in is too small, and we can no longer get all the orders out in a day...or even a few days when we're particularly busy. We are working on fixing this problem, and within a year expect to move into a brand new home--but until then, we ask for your continued patience. The shipping department is working as hard as it can to clear the orders, and we'll process yours as soon as we can. Thanks for shopping with HobbyLink Japan! --- M. Scott Kennard HLJ Customer Service www.hlj.comOpe they shipped our items already, can't wait for my MG Hi-Nu and the DyGenguar kits! Goodluck on the others!!!! vic01

i got my 1/100 FIX RX-78-2 WID G-ARMOR DIECAST today and took a few min checking it out. my first impression was kind of disappointing because of the lack of diecast on the gundam. the paint is a flat off white and i worry about my oilily hands discoloring it if i handle it too much. what save this figure for me was the G-Armor. the gundam alone is disappointing but together with the Garmor it well worth the $120 that i spent on it. i hope this is my final gumdan 78. no more pls. maybe one more (soc gudam 78)?

I haven't gotten this yet but is really considering it. Right now they have it at imageanime, com and it seems to be cheaper than ebay prices. HLJ doesn't have it and I can't find it locally in the bay area. It's now close to the 150 price range. Anyone know of where I can get this cheaper, I'll consider getting this if I can get this at 120 flat.

Hmmm. You're not really impressed? Is there anything that you can share with us on the materials of the figure (material quality)? What about poseability and accessories?

What I don't like about the gundam are 1. I can't feel the diecast because its all covered by cheap plastic armors. 2, hard to change hands and the gun holding hands do not fit the weapon well. 3. It is very easy to leave black marks on the flat white paints. 4. The head is too tight. And it can only move left and right a little. No up and down movement at all. 5. Possibility is pretty good but because of the lack of up and down movements most of the posts looks kind of fake. 6. No GUNDAM hammer -or- hyper hammer and beam javelin
What I love about it is 1. Love the G armor. The flat blue and red paint looks great and the plastic on it seems to be a better quality.
2. Everything on the G armor fits together well and when combined with the gundam it holds together pretty tight. (I love flying the G fighter around my house, never had a G armor before).
Don’t get me wrong I am impressed with the whole package. Its just I was kind of disappointed on the flat white paint and cheap plastic feel of the gundam figurer. Over all it’s a very good buy and I give it a 8 out of 10 for 1 $120 toy.

Thanks for the heads up Wilson. I'll keep in mind about the "leaving black marks" on the plastic armor parts. I saw pictures of this product on Toybox, photographed in such a tasteful way that made me give high regard of the toy. The guys also give a good review of the product. links to the pics here: toyboxdx.com/phorum/read.php?1,162400 The exclusion of the gundam hammer and gundam javelin really sucked, but at least they give you 2 bazookas (you do get 2, right?). I hope I will not be disappointed when I hold the toy in my hands, and really hope Bandai makes a better effort for the 1:100 Metal Edition GFF 1002. Post pics, Bro!

I have an excess of RX-78's, but it looks like Bandai has done such a nice job with this one as to make it a worthwhile purchase. Hooray for a transformable core fighter for a chogokin RX-78!!! Which Gundam has been chosen for Metal Edition GFF 1002?

Hi, I'm new here but the shiled can be attached to the back of the RX-78 but I did it with the help of tissue paper though. I know some fans are disappointed with this Gundam due to the lack of die-cast on its exterior but I'm totally satisfied with it!

I put in my order for GFF #1001 at HLJ. The website says it's in stock so I hope I don't run into the problems others here have had. I just couldn't resist this one based on the positive reviews people have been writing and the wonderful diecast content (internal skeleton). Just hope there will be a transforming GP-01 or GP-03 diecast GFF.

Looks like I ordered one from HLJ just in time. The website now shows that they are out of stock of this item.
