Looking at the stub arm/beam saber that heavyarms comes with makes me think they will announce tallgeese anyday now. ;D I hope so. Cause I seriously plan to buy at least five. That way, I can customize or repaint one or two of them. I'll have my own Tallgeese army! I can see it now... ...A squadron of mighty robots, thundering through the skies like some terrible, unstoppable force of nature, raining down destruction from on high, reducing lesser robots to smoking scrap metal!Ahem. Sorry about that; I think I need to get some sleep!

I just got the Super HCM Pro RX78/2 (I know- I'm like way out of date here. What can I say- I'm an old fart. : Finally! I had the devil's own time getting the core block out, and the core fighter doesn't seem to stay in too well. I had a hell of a time getting the forearm hatches open, but once I did, they seem to work pretty well. Oh- and much to my dismay, the V-fin has a bent tip. This thing feels like it's hard plastic, not the flexible stuff, so I'm a little reluctant to try and bend it back into place- anyone have any advice, here? Despite these problems, this is a great little piece. I really like the Gundam Wing mechas, especially the Tallgeese. (I have almost all of the carded 5" figures.) They'll make a grest addition to this line. JWM

I never could get the forearm hatches to open.

I never could get the forearm hatches to open. I haven't tried it on HCM Pros, but a technique I've had success with on small pvc figures is using boiling water. Just briefly dip the offending piece in boiling water to soften it, pull it out, and shape it into the desired shape. It will retain the new shape once it cools down. Just be careful not to burn yourself!

Thanks for the boiling water tip. I just may try that. Zephranthes: This may sound a little gross but the way I got the forearm hatches to open on mine was to put spit on them. The hatch has one of those hinges that moves forward and up Now they work OK.

I wonder how it'll compare to the Arch Enemy series Tallgeese III. I believe that the HCM Pro will be the 2nd toy form of the Tallgeese after the MSiA.

Thanks for all of the links, zephyranthes! The Wing and Deathscythe are cool, I got mine in from HLJ last week. Very detailed and well-constructed figures.
Now, if only they will put out the Holy Grail of Gundam wing- the Wing Zero! Anime version, NOT Endless Waltz version.

Yeah, I also prefer the anime series version over the Endless Waltz movie custom version. jessedart, I'd love to hear a quick review of the Wing and Deathscythe HCM Pros since I don't have those yet--if you've got the time and the inclination.

Sure, man. I haven't opened the Deathscythe yet, but I can take a quick pass at the Wing. The figure is, quite simply, cool. As always, I'm amazed at the detail and engineering Bandai puts into the HCM Pro figures. Construction and painting are both impressive. After experiencing floppy legs with my HCM Pro RX-79 G, I was a little concerned about joint quality. Fortunately, there are no worries- the joints are very sturdy. The figure easily holds whatever pose you put it in, in both MS and Bird mode. Awesome articulation from head to toe- the shoulders even have a joint that allows them to swing slightly forward and back, to allow dramatic 'firing' poses. I was pleasantly surprised by the attention put into the paint application. The details on the shoulder guards, wings, and chest vents weren't readily apparent on the photos I've seen online. One small gripe, though- it looks like a tiny bit of paint got smeared or dripped on the shield. No biggie, but surprising considering how much work went into the rest of the paint job. My only other concern is minor, but one that I have with all of the HCM Pro figures. The engraved panel lines are all so tiny, they just don't 'pop' like I'd like. Fortunately, this is easily remedied with a careful dry wash of thin, water-based acrylic model paint. All in all, this is a fine collection to the HCM Pro lineup. I'm now looking forward to the September release of Tallgeese, and hoping that it will be quickly followed by Wing Zero and Epyon.

Thank you jessedart for your impressions of the HCM Pro Wing Gundam. Most of the HCM Pros I've gotten have had splotches of paint that did not belong.
