Hey everyone,
Is anyone going to purchase this bad boy?

Man; it looks impressive from a distance, but I'd like more detail on such a large Mobile Suit- at least as much detail and articulation as you would get on a MG Kit. Can the cockpit open up on this, and is there a pilot figure included? It doesn't say on the HLJ web site. Link- www.hlj.com/product/BAN952362

The detail is not bad for the size. With some paint, and maybe a few metal bit, I bet it could look awesome. My only real grip is the hands. I wonder how hard it would be to make r modifying the hands to look real.

I preordered mine from BBTS several months ago....crossing my fingers and hoping they get this in soon! Their suppliers have been less than reliable recently. I am still waiting for my Fewture Gigabyte Great Mazinger, which was released in Japan in October...

I just saw this with my own eyes at a local toyshop yesterday afternoon. The box is really fat and huge. Anyhow, toy collectors in Hong Kong are complaining about how they want this badly but don't know where to put it in their cramped flats (then get rid of other toys to make space for this mother!).
The store also took one out of the box for display in Wave Rider mode. In my opinion, it looks better in robot mode. In any case, I was planning to buy it, but it looks awfully plasticky up close. Moreover, the store had SOC GX-39 Baikanfu and GX-40 God Mars. In the end, I decided to play catch-up and bought the gokins. Maybe I'll pick this Jumbo Z Gundam later if it's still available. With the recent wave of new releases, I really feel like a poor man.

This thing is begging for after-market parts. A Gundam this large needs more detail!
By the way; one cool thing about this Zeta is that if it is 1/35, it is in perfect scale with the U.C. Hardgraph model diorama kits. If you could sharpen the Zeta up with some resin and metal intake grills, thruster verniers, etc; and maybe weather it a bit with a good dry-wash, it would look awesome next to one of the Hardgraph kits.

Which parts need to be added/removed for transformation? That will be a deciding factor for me...

Which parts need to be added/removed for transformation? That will be a deciding factor for me... I would guess none. The Zeta is a perfect transform, you don't need to swap out any parts. I wonder how playable the figure will be in mobile suit mode. All the renditions I've seen of the Zeta are floppy, and hard to pose. Can you do anything more with this one than make it sort of stand up straight? If so, than this thing will be great. JWM

I was asking because the description on toy-wave.com says parts need to be added/removed... I just hope it's the landing gears... The Zeta is the only Gundam I collect. I already have the PG version, it's a marvel.

It's not perfect transform. That was one of the biggest complaints about the toy before it even came out. I have one waiting for me back home, but won't get to it till after the weekend. Will let you guys know if the question's still not answered.

Definitely some parts swapping. I didn't transform it, but there were definitely some left over parts in the box. Not too many, mind you, but it's not "perfect transformation" by any means.

Which parts? Are they just add-ons to make the figure look better or crucial to the transformation?

Emerson,
Can we see some pics? I'm trying to decide if I want to buy it (expensive), I want to see how big it is transformed compared to other gundams... thanks :-)

Sorry, no can do on pics! At the airport on my way to Beijing haha. But the parts aren't for aesthetics. You pretty much need everything. Guys, just check out the third photo in this thread...what you see disassembled there is what and how this guy breaks down. And as for the size, I think the guy holding the Gundam should give you a sense of how big this is. It's about the same size as the other Jumbo Grades, and maybe a little shorter than a Jumbo Machinder. About 2 feet tall.

Emerson,
Where did you purchase it? And do you think it is a good buy?
