moleman Thanks for posting the prototype pics. It seems its much bigger that the SOC version, and hopefully it provides more decent number of accessories compared to previous Bandai release.

1kg for 30cm is really not that much, considering that the GX-48 weighs 545g for 22cm.
From this data I think the Max Factory will actually have less diecast than the SoC version.

The caption describing the face says LED's, probably for the eyes. MUST HAVE THIS.

I am sort of bittersweet about this. I like my Big 0. I even liked my old Bandai action figure Big 0. But now after spending a decent chunk on the Last release, I have a hard time wanting to have a second one, even though this one looks pretty awesome.

It says March 2011 release? Love the LED light up gimmick. But I think the chances of it going to have lots of diecast is slim, especially after how they did the Dragonar, the diecast was almost close to 10-20% on Dragonar and the price tag was very high.

I don't know at 1000grams this guy has got to have some hefty metal parts to to make up that weight, I mean Ideon is almost the same height and weight and that thing is loaded with metal.

Since I already have the SOC version, it is unlikely for me to get a second one. However, I love BIG and HEAVY diecast robot. If the review of this latest MAX Gokin turns out to be good and it is not too expensive, I might bite.
Man, I hope they re-release Godannar...

Wowowowowow!
LEDS?
Articulated hands?
This is a good start!!!! Mind you, I already have the complete Bandai one, but (for a fair price) I think I'll bite on this like a dog on a bone...

This is great news! 1kg means a lot of diecast! But remeber that one thing is diecast surface with plastic inside and other thing is being solid diecast. That way you can have that could touch all over it and poseability is not compromised. Too bad this is completely out of scale with the other max gokins. But i guess it has to be that way in order to convince people buying it if they already have the soc. I must confess i only bought the soc one last week!

I'm just glad to see Max Gokin still moving forward with robot releases. Now if we could just get them to make their Dancouga Nova and Archanfel I would be so stoked. But at the current rate of releases we won't see either of these for a couple of years or more. I hope I'm wrong though.

While I'll wait on the price, for now I'm anticipating buying this.

Might get it if the price is not exorbitant. I'm not a real huge fan of the Big O, but Max Factory does put out some beautiful figures - that and the LED eyes have my full attention..
