i bought a KO jumbo maz on ebay... when i saw the box, i said the seller(from spain) is not lying, it is as big as the fewture giga byte, before opening the the box, i went to work and from work i left a nice feedback to my suprise when i open it up from work... and heres a close up, the breast is broken, the other horn is broken and its all dusty, it came with a 3 cdr copy of the TV episode i said to myself... NEVER AGAIN!!! i could have bought the giga byte maz but was too cheap, i could have just added a few more dollars and *sigh... oh well so heres the comparison with the jumbo kaizer i have most likely i will be painting this again(most likely a black version ;D), i tried to use superglue on the chest, when the superglue drip and i wiped it, the paint also went with the glue... another paint job to do ... hhhaaayyyyy and the hardware store ran out of semi-gloss paint GGGRRRR!!!! hope you learn something from this :/

you can definitely salvage it, but paying for almost $300 for it, i would rather have it in a nice minty condition ^_^
it would be a pain in the ).( to mask the head, but i think it will be worth it if i do a nice job(hopefully). i have too many projects lined up already, i think i will do this first, the other project will be too complicated and it consist of 3 bots...so i have to focus on it.

OUCH!! Didn't know about the $300 part.. Maybe you could list the seller's name in the Negative Transactions Thread so we can avoid him?

there are a few of them selling it now on ebay, all of them are from spain.
its nice and huge, but not really a solid one, loose waist and joints. i think snowflak used this same toy to custom a gold maz, the one i saw on his pictures, if im not mistaken.

Nah, that gold Mazinger was a bootleg from Hong Kong. Just like the Gigabyte version, only cast in a different color.

Have you contacted the seller to ask for some compensation? Shipping damage sucks, but in no way is it something you have to just take as a given.

Looking at your big Maz once again... it certainly looks perfect in scale along-side your Mazinkaiser jumbo. Add the Fewture GB Great Mazinger to this set, and ya got yerself the Heroic Trio! zozo-Magengar

For the shipping damage...there's also the dispute console (if you want to go that far). Not sure how effective it is...but it's there just in case.

the thing is it was already in dispute bec it took more than 30days for delivery(i always dispute if packages dont arrive after 29days) so when i saw the box on my doorstep going to work, i knew it was this, so i closed the dispute in paypal and left a nice feedback for the seller, the next day coming from work(i work the graveyard shift) i opened it up and saw just like you see in the pic above.
it was broken because, he only put manila paper over the regular blue box that it had, so there wasnt much support to protect the box.

Tell the seller it's not broken because of shipping, but because of poor packaging. No excuse for such lazy, piss-poor packaging. With no protection, it doesn't matter how careful the postal service is....something will get broken. 100% the responsibility and fault of the seller.

That totally sucks...I guess you don't leave feedback until you inspect the merchandise then...lesson learned. I still think you'll do a pretty good job on the custom though.
