They wont do it, im 99% sure.
You know why some people is willing to pay 150 or 200 on Alprodai A and Mineva X? Because they know these two babies wont be re-released in the future.
Think about it deeper,if they do re-release it, how much money are they going to make? the yen price is 3500(around 30$), and how much profit are they going to make?!
Almost NONE!
If they do re-produce them, the market demand will be soon much more lower than the supply, and the story will become same as Dianan A and Venus A. There will be a lot of left over stored in the factory and nobody will really want it. Trust me, the price of Mineva x/alprodiai a being so high is because they are rare and fairly lot of collectors want them. However if these collectors all got a piece on hand, nobody is going to buy the rest no more.
See the story of re-released dancouga, the one with most profit.

Bandai (Japan) doesn't make any profits from the going "collector's" value/price from any of the SOCs. I agree, the reason the Minerva X and the Grendizer are going so high on eBay is because there is greater demand now as the availability/demand has gone down over the years. The profits that those eBay sellers are making, Bandai doesn't see because like any manufacturer, they sold their items at wholesale and at MSRP. Yes, Dianan and Venus are just sitting in HK cellars but Bandai could careless about old stock in a HK cellar that they aren't making any profits from! The same goes for the high value items like Minerva and Grendizer. I would think Bandai is paying attention to the collector's market and are feeding off of those ridiculous auction prices for SOCs in great demand. Why else have we seen a sudden surge of reissues/rerelease, GX-*Rs, lately? Obviously Bandai wants in on what they see is going to make their pockets a little deeper. Most profit? Yeah, and they also just reissued Combattler V, Daikumaryu, (will) BossBorot, and (will)Eva-01. What's your point?

Because 50% of the dancouga is made of plastic, and the yen price is 20000, as we can tell, the production cost is fairly low at this rate. So, when the market demand is high, they re-released it (Actually dancouga has been re-released twice).
Same story happened to Combattler, Daikumaryu, the plastic contain of them are very high.
For the story of Eva01, the Zinc Metal they need to make a EVA is very little in compare with other SOCs, and the production line of the WHOLE EVA SERIES is almost identical, except the chest/head part.
However i dont really understand why they re-release Boss borot, it is heavy and low profit, can anybody give me a reasonable explaination?

Duh... Maybe because its popular with the collectors? So you think Bandai rereleases these toys based on how big and how much more plastic the toy is going to have? Dude, where are you getting all this ? Really, you can tell me... Obviously Dancougar was rereleased because there has been a great demand for him from the very beginning and the moulds and production lines are still setup in their factories to release him so they are gonna milk that. The same goes for Eva-01. But Combattler V and Daikumaryu? They were initally released back in 1999-2000. Bandai would have to take a loss to bring back the moulds and to setup their production lines. They were brought back because Bandai felt that they could probably still make some profits by milking the surging popularity of the SOC line, wanting to recover the losses (developement costs) from these two unprofitable toys. I think it has backfired in their face and I believe they are now trying to offset the (current) losses by releasing the three toys they think the masses will still go after (Dan, Eva-01, and BossBorot), toys that have done very well for them. You obviously don't know what you are talking about so I am done with this topic... [Edited for grammar and spelling.]

The molds are always there, they have the stock room for every single pieces of toys those that they feel there's still re-production potential. I don't know where u get the above info from but Combattler is making a lot of profits and Daikumaryu is released with different color, GX-05R ( check the inner belly of GX-05R Daikumaryu, it says 1999 made of tailand, that means they are still using the original mold) I dont mean to be rude but you probably dont know what you are talking about.
