4 - (shi) in chinese but shi (死ねます)in 日本語 means "death"....so they use "YON" instead.
9 - (ku) in chinese but ku means pain or trouble so...they use "KYUU" instead.
also
7 - (shichi) in chinese is not used because it can be mistaken for "ichi" or 1........So they use "NANA" instead
10 is pronounced as "JUU"
Excuse me is "SUMIMASEN"
If you want to ask what "any japanese word/phrase" means in english....this phrase will be useful........... "any japanese word/phrase" eigo de nan desu ka?
If you want to ask what "any english word/phrase" is in japanese....use..... "any english word/phrase" nihongo de nan desu ka?
- this only works if you're talking to someone who is somewhat proficient in english.
other useful phrases : ikura desu ka? - how much chotto misete kudasai - please show me chotto matte kudasai - please wait
brush up on your japanese and enjoy your visit to 日本。

We will look for the pictures How strong are the prices on vintage chogokin? Ed chogokin prices are outrageous. i don't know if there is a price guide, but the prices seem to reflect that in the stores. however, unlike the u.s., there are many stores that buy used chogokins & the like for re-sale. similar to how we buy/sell used cds & dvds. you might see some exotic stuff, but mostly popular sentai or chogokin series that go un-noticed in america. i think you'll find more rare items on ebay or maybe in taiwan/hong kong. i didn't see any advantage to buying in japan vs. ebay or the u.s. you save on shipping, that's about it. i'm an anime fan, but i saw alot of anime that never gets released in the us for whatever reason. anime + video games is so part of their culture its unbelievable. its not uncommon to see a 50 yo woman playing nintendo ds on the subway or a 40+ business guy reading dragonball. i guess if i had to say one word for popularity among the japanese, its definitely GUNDAM! GUNDAM everything!
