Although it's huge, In my opinion, Bandai's soc spec Dragonar already did justice to the mecha.

I'd like to see a comparison review of the Bandai and Max Factory versions. The Bandai version was already quite nice.

That does look nice and I'm sure it will be larger and have more diecast than the SPEC version but I don't know, I've been burned by Maxfactory to many times........

what was your trouble with maxfactory Chen? so far the max gohkin line was a sure bet for quality figures. at least mine do not have any obvious flaws and I value them quite highly in my collection.

Of don't get me wrong I love the design and heft from the figures but I've got a busted leg on my Gaogaigar and the shoulder covers on my Mazinkaiser snapped off and only one arm retracts. Plus other posters have mentioned arms breaking off from their Gaogaigars, it just seems that they sometimes rush figures into production. They released three versions of Gaogaigar that was supposedly fixed. I guess it's because Maxfactory doesn't have a lot of experience with making high diecast content figures like Bandai or Aoshima. I will say that if Gurren Lagann is infact a MaxFactory built figure then they have come a long way in quality.

sorry to hear that Chen. guess I was lucky so far with max, though I have to admit that I did not take my GGGG out of his box yet. I had the others unpacked and on display and no worries. they should get better, so I hope, with each new release, and the dragonar will certainly be on my wish list. oh, and by the way, is that a rumor that the Konami GL was built by Max?

Yeah there have been some speculation that the Konami Gurren Lagann was actually built or atleast had help from Maxfactory. The similarities between it and Godannar are quite a few with even the same colour red used. It could be possible that Konami reverse engineered a Maxfactory Godannar but for a first time entry in the diecast figure segment putting out something that good on the first try is pretty rare.

unfortunately I missed the release and so the possibility to buy one at a reasonable rate, as I would love to compare the two. I thought that Konami is big enough in this business to produce good quality, but seriously I don't know much about what they really produce. I don't own any Konami stuff. but you are right that they never before produced such a classy figure or at least I never noticed. as far as I observed they are in games and vinyl/ plastic figures. not my game anyway. still, would have loved to have one

Looks nice but considering the SPEC Dragonar can be had for a fairly reasonable price (and it's a truly, truly superb figure. One of my favorites in my collection) I don't see the MAX Gokin being worth the much higher (probably) price tag.

Is there a Fewture website in English or at least a link to their chogokin line. The one I managed to find is in Japanese and couldn't make heads or tails out of it.
