TOM ARE YOU EVEN READING MY POSTS? QUOTED FROM ABOVE...".....Im not sure about the manga ones hole being clearly evident but im sure its the same ..." Either way whether its clear or not the later anime shows the hole,Im sure those who animated Shin mazinger have the manga and know it,therefor inside can see the hole in the sword.Ill take the benefit of the doubt.Im about to order the mangas anyway so..we can have a conclusive fact. But I dont see why it wouldnt have the hole as its the same characters sword. Then again Great Mazingers swords change from a ring on teh handle to no ring, but his swords arent as prominent as Z-Mazingers...even if teh sword hole is fixed the hilt is also wrong it should be wrapped not the design it is now on ET and HLPro..

post some pics when you get the Manga I don't even know what the sword is supposed to look like in the Manga. Based on the guy who did all the drawings that I quoted earlier, he said they only looked at the Manga and he was drawn inconsistently in the Manga. He is just based on elements taken from the whole thing and done in the style they thought was right for him. It was pretty much all in black and white and they went with colors they thought were right and would look good.. If Gattiger is any clue to what they have planned for him, I would expect at least two color options.

They based it on the manga sword so Im sure its the same or VERY close.Ill post pics when I get the books.

no I cant understand that.. the anime was a lot later and different artists involved who are going to have their own take on things. Why re-reinvent the wheel? Sure there are "takes on things" but this is a sword Tom,its not a robot. Its not all that exciting to take creative liscensing with a sword. There is no reason why they would change it,unless it wasnt clearly represented. Im sure the sword is shown 50 times in the manga. And Im sure the hole is there,as far as the colors,we cant know that as its in black and white BUT when those who represent these liscenses and decide to make the colors later on,that becomes the colors that are correct. I mean why change that?If its represented as such by dynamic planning, why change it as a figure? Whats the point? If its too late to change the colors,ok no big deal. But once represented somewhere by a known authoratative source, even if down the road, that becomes concrete for me anyways. Saying its creative liscensing, and defending artist takes on things arbitrarily,is just silly for me.Why renew something JUST to change it? The only viable reasons would be A.they dont know the colors B.Its something like a Fewture toy, where all is changed... Small subtle arbitrary changes just look like mistakes, unless they are on a grander scale. To call it correct when one is unsure, is only valid in the minds of those who have doubts, not those who see it for what it is.

dude, I cant answer your questions because I have not seen the sword in the Manga.. I have no idea what it looks like. All I know is what I posted from the guy.. when you get the Manga, post the photos, I would like to see how they drew it. He said the Manga was inconsistent.. you can see what he said.. that's all I know.

I wouldn't be surprised if God Mazinger was always meant to look like a statue, whether it's in use or not, and the anime made it change into a slightly more colourful mode just so they could make the toy more pleasing to the eye. Remember, toys are why Gundam got such an un-militaristic color scheme in the first place.

Maybe, but it also had a smoother, less rock-like look in the manga: Anime: Figure: I much rather have an anime looking figure than the manga version myself. }D

I much rather have an anime looking figure than the manga version myself. I'm inclined to agree with you on this one - and that vintage figure looks gorgeous.

Artstorm says right now they want to open the sale in November. Oh really? So all that BS about the extra month for the release was another "story"..more false advertising..because Tom YOU DID SAY they were going to release it in one month pending the paint fix right? Why on earth does teh world have to wait for Artstorm of all things?? I know its just you relaying the messages, but how do you defend this kind of action by HLPro..when did they ever say we had to wait for Artstorm?? Why is it up to them? Is there an agreement with HLPro that can Artstorm solely open sales? If so its ludicrous. So know all of the world has to wait including Europe, the home of HLPro? I thought HLPro just wanted to open new markets in japan, now we have to wait for Japan?? This company is making more and more bad moves. Nice, what about all the loyal customers elsewhere?? NOVEMEBER NOW!! hahahah push back push back...

November now... Good thing I stopped caring about it ever being released. But it still burns my gonads when entities keep pushing releases back for no reason at all. If it is ready, go ahead and release it. I bet enough of them have been pre-sold by now, and the people that purchased them would like to have what they paid for already... }|

Hit the nail right on the head. If Artstorm (Fewture) is going to dictate release dates, the folks who purchased this released are in for a long wait. Look at what Artstorm does with their other lines, the EX-Gokins and ES-Gokins... they never release on time. On the contrary, they release months, or even years after their original advertised release dates. }|
