Guys, I have a video review up of this figure. Little rough since its first time with new software and editing parts sucked. Great figure! Good job! You can never have too many diecast Grendizers ;D

since I made the review during my first opening of the figure, I bounce back and and forth with how I feel about the figure but since then, I have to say for the price it is a darn good figure! less than 60 shipped, and its loaded with metal. no spazer thingy but since im not a huge fan it doesn't bother me much. as it is I am happy with the price, purchase, and quality.
I think my only complaint is how the elbows are held on with such a tiny piece of plastic but its really not that big of a deal. buy one

How about some pictures next to some SOC's like Mazinger just so we can get a sense of size. Plus I believe it was stated that a diecast Spazer will be coming soon for this figure.

It seems to be more proportioned like those best posing figures and such. It's skinnier, but about the same height, lanky, has realy big hands, and a smallish head, it really is cool.

I'll let you see what sort of pose you can give to the figure using this system. No worries about the paint as the upper part of the leg is made of ABS and not metal, I have the figure since one month on my desk and I change the positions all the time in front of the metaltech02 for testing. Look at the back of grendizer's neck, you will notice that a small pc of plastic can be removed, this will be used for a future upgrade, it gives also the possibility to move the entire neck back and forth. To remove that piece of plastic ... just pull the head from its socket first, then put it back. Shoulder blades are not fixed, they can be removed. The flame accessory can be removed from the screw punch and you can attach it to a fist to form the rocket punch. Regarding the quality, I think it is higher than a grendizer SOC as for the grendizer figure itself, it is die cast and you can really pose it with its accessories, I have both so I have no doubt about it. I guess it is a matter of taste, design approach, colors etc..., but not quality product level. Thanks again for the review

Thanks again for the review I think I didnt do the figure justice since this review is unlike some of my other ones where I familiarize myself with the figure first before doing a review. Because it was brand spanking new I didnt fully explore the figure out of fear of breaking something but after a couple of days with it, I see it is much better than what I felt during review, I liked it then and I love it now. i will try and get a picture of it next to another SOC as soon as I can, maybe next to a mazinger. Thanks for pointing out the things I missed due to lack of exploring the figure further. I may avoid doing reviews of immediate opening in the future so I can give a more accurate review. Thanks again

Hmmm better quality than a SOC that first came out 9 years ago, that's a bold statement.

Hmmm better quality than a SOC that first came out 9 years ago, that's a bold statement. better is always better right.. No one told Bandai to stop and to not release new versions since 9 years though, they had several mass reproductions for that model. + 9 years ago..., their budget for devlopment was already certainly a billion times higher than HD... But no one said here it is better, just that quality is not lower than a SOC, it was in my own post, but yeah since I work at HD I guess the best is to not listen to me but to what fans who bought this model have to say.

My point was if you want to compete with the SOC line then you should compare to one of there newer releases like say GX-45, not GX-04 which although it is the same character is also almost 10 years old in design. True GX-04 was a watermark design which influenced all future SOC's and is a classic but if you truly believe your product is just as good then compare it to a contemporary. Personally I see more in common with GX-45 from a design point then I do with GX-04. Also the fact that Bandai has re-issued GX-04S so many times and still found a market shows just how good it was in the first place.
But my main point is if your gonna go after Bandai and truly believe in your product then go after their newest figure with their latest technological updates, that's all. As for not taking your opinion because you work for HD, I never said that I said we need more opinions from neutral members who have no vested interest in either Bandai or HD since those are the ones that cut through all the propaganda to the truth. Your opinion is no more OR less than any other member here, we just need more of them.

And yes you could compare the metaltech grendizer to new bandai productions....just grendizer is grendizer, you can't go really crazy with the design, after a certain point it would not be grendizer anymore . Otherwise we will not go after Bandai, we have a very different design approach as you can see with the metaltech, sculpting wise, articulations/posing, and regarding the accessories we propose. Fans are the winners here anyway
