Thanks Goldorak. Is that from the Bandai S.O.C.? Hard to tell. Or is it another manufacturer's spin on Maz?

It says "Soul of Iron" on it, which is usually stuck on promo articles on SOC stuff. It might actually be a new "superposeable" (using the joint system from Tetsujin, or some such) re-make of the SOC Mazinger Z. Just in case we didn't have enough of them, you know.

Wait - ANOTHER Maz from the SOC line? C'mon. I love Maz to death, but does the world really need another SOC Mazinger? Really?
Yes. Thanks gt3ian

Bandai puzzles me by this Mazinger Z. Gx-01R+ head, with Gx-07 body and Gx-44 arms and legs!!!

I suppose even Hasbro has to revisit Tattooine Luke every now and again.

I see in the description beside the picture "spec". Could this be a Mazinger for the SOC Spec line? Either way, I will wait to see more of it before I pass judgement.

Could be but I don't know what it says, but SPEC only deals with Robots from the 1980's and up. But what I did notice is that it looks like a mix of OVA Mazinger and Classic Mazinger.........hmmmmmm I wonder if a new Anime could be in the works.

Didn't think about a new Maz anime........now I'm gonna be drooling even if it's just pure speculation!!! Well I suppose I can dream.... ;D Actually I missed out on the GX07, so I wouldn't mind getting my hands on this one with the OVA body and super articulation, but again that's just me.

There's been a rumor that the director of Giant Robo is working on a new Mazinger show called Z Mazinger, that'll have a new storyline and feature all versions of Mazinger. I REALLY hope this is a sign that show is finally on its way.

Shame, shame, shame folks... that particular Mazinger Z design is from a manga (not to be confused with the original GX-07 Mazinger - which is from the original manga). I think I have some scans of it somewhere, if I find them I'll post one or two.
Going back to the figure, I'll take a Mazinger Z figure any day over a SRW one. SO, it is back to personal taste. Besides, while it is true that Bandai has come out with four Mazinger Z designs (GX-01, GX-07, GX-01R, and GX-01R+... repaints do not count), Mazinger Z will always be a best seller for them. I would like an SOC Mazinkaiser too, but maybe after the new Mazinger...
