Nevermind! I just purchased it from Ebay!
Well, saw one for $280, and found a rebate deal for 9% cash back for any buy it now item paid with paypal. So $255 + shipping makes it just about $300. I couldn't resist. Not too bad I guess considering I've found nothing close to this cheap so far, anything else is $40 to $60 more.

For 9% cash back from microsoft: pages.ebay.com/cashbackoffer/terms.html?_trksid=m38Read through this page and you'll have a good idea how to do it. Pay special attention to Point # 3 & 4 for instruction of how to get and redeem cash back. remember it'd only work on "BUY IT NOW" items paid with PAYPAL.

Boo! You got my hopes up for a second, there. But noooo... no love for the poor folks in Canadeh. Bleh... Ebay coupons used to be so easy to find... I haven't got a valid one in ages.

sorry mate! I didn't catch that either!
Oh well..... there was supposed to be a 10% off ebay coupon in addition to the 9% cashback, but only those who received the coupon from ebay directly gets it. From what I've been reading, only those accounts that haven't been active (and has a paypal acct linked) are receiving the coupons, as a lure to get them back to it again I guess.

I did, but I never got any coupon from them by e-mail. I guess you really have to stop buying from eBay to get one.

Now I just can't wait to get it! It'll look good next to Godannar. Good luck finding your Gurren Lagann! Maybe this is not the correct thread to ask this: any idea if Konami will be releasing another entry inte the Great Imapct die-cast line? The market is there. I tried sending Konami an email through Konami's japan's site (had to do a lot of google translate to get to where i wanted) to ask them if they'll re-release the Great Impact Gurren Lagann last week but have heard nothing back. Guess they didn't like the fact that I asked them in English or sth....... As for other new entries, I haven't heard any news.

Check Yahoo! Japan Auctions. I was able to get a proxy to win this auction for me last year: page11.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/n64912165I think I got really lucky that no one else bid, but it came out to be like $170 after shipping and proxy fees.

Yikes, $300? I would never have recommended getting it for that much. It's a decent toy but it's not THAT good.
Hell, maybe I should sell mine. It's just gathering dust.

I'm sure there are plenty of people willing it buy it though if you want to sell. Next time I'm buying an over-market price item I'll check with you to see if you wanna sell your first! LOL. I never understood how to buy from yahoo japan auction. Any tips / recommendations? i did try to look in hong kong yahoo auction but didn't see anybody selling it there.

In order to bid on Yahoo! Japan Auctions, you will most likely need a proxy service. I don't think you can bid directly unless you have a Japanese bank account. Search for yahoo japan auction proxy on Google and you will find plenty of proxy services that are willing to bid on items for you for a fee. I've been using Tokyobuyers as my proxy and they've always been great to deal with. tokyobuyers.blogspot.com/Basically, you just tell them how much I want to bid for the item and they take care of the rest. If they win the auction for you, you pay for the cost of the item plus their fees & shipping.
